Can y’all believe that October is almost over? It’s like Halloween has come and gone so quickly this year!
It’s been a month of eating a lot of snacks (including LOADS of Halloween snacks) and drinking a lot of beverages, but we’ve put together a list of our faves (and not-so-faves) from October 2020! If you’re headed to Disney World soon, use this as your must-get (and maybe skip) list!
The Worst Things We’ve Eaten This Month
We’re just going to go with the bad news first because that’s the way it’s done, right? And although the snacks we have deemed the worst by our standards aren’t our favorites, we’re sure that some of you might still like them. So we always recommend trying out stuff for yourself, too!
Oogie Worm
At some point, Disney decided that it was going to put gummy worms on everything and call those things Halloween treats. And that was certainly the case with the $14 Oogie Worm from Abracadabar at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. It’s literally just a standard pool drink with a single gummy worm in it (JUST ONE?).Â
The drink is Tito’s handmade vodka, blue curaçao (one of Disney’s fav-or-ite mixers cause it adds color that’s not straight up brown), Midori, pineapple juice, and a gummy worm.

It’s perfectly drinkable, although we found it a little sweet. It tastes pretty standard, so we definitely would have preferred something a little more seasonal and unique.
FantaWeen Punch
Speaking of drinks pretending to be Halloween, the FantaWeen Punch from the Coca-Cola Store at Disney Springs is the least fall and Halloween drink we’ve had. It’s Evan Williams Peach, Simply Orange Juice, and Fanta Orange. It’s very Insta-worth, though.
The booze in this one is STRONG, but the orange and peach work well together. We REALLY liked the peach, actually. However, the ONLY thing fall about this drink is that it’s orange. Seriously, this is a summer drink, and although we liked it, we would have preferred something with actual fall flavors.

This drink was $10.50, and we think we would have liked it a lot more back in July.
Sally Whoopie Pie
Oh, Sally Whoopie Pie from Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, we had such HIGH HOPES for you. You were so pretty, and looked great on our Instagram page. Just LOOK AT IT!
Inside, it turns out that this treat is kind of just basic. It’s literally plain white cake with a lot of icing (which is the part we’re NOT complaining about). We liked it okay, for plain old cake, but we thought it was a little pedestrian for something that looked so great.

And sure, sometimes you just want a light white cake kinda’ snack that isn’t too sugary, and if that’s you, go for it! But we expected so much more. This treat is $3.99.
The Best
Here’s the good news — we ate and drank SO MUCH good stuff this month that it was really hard just to pick our three favorites. But we narrowed it down and here’s what we absolutely loved in October!
The Wolfman
We don’t often go nuts over coffee drinks, but The Wolfman from Starbucks at Disney Springs had us HOWLING at the moon! This is a java chip frappuccino with an espresso shot topped with strawberry puree. And it was one of the best Starbucks specialty drinks we think we’ve ever had!
We thought all the different flavors paired so nicely together. Also, the java chips give it an extra chocolatey goodness, while the coffee helps balance out the sweetness. And that strawberry puree kicks it all up an extra notch!

We would definitely drink this again. It cost $8.15. Now THIS is a Halloween drink!
Rosie’s All-American Salad
Yes, a salad made our BEST OF list! But this isn’t any ordinary salad. Rosie’s All-American Salad from Rosie’s All-American Cafe at Hollywood Studios is a tasty thing of beauty with  Mojo pulled pork, Romaine lettuce, roasted sweet potatoes, crispy tortilla strips, pomegranate pickled radish, queso fresco, and pumpkin seeds drizzled with a tangy and spicy ancho-ranch dressing.Â
Everything in this salad just WORKS. The ingredients are super fresh and the pork is extra flavorful. Add the spicy ranch dressing, and you’ve got an extra bit of kick that takes it up a notch. The chips also added a nice bit of crunch!

This salad is $10.99 and is bonafide proof that you CAN find a good salad in a theme park. Who knew?
PBJ Bombolato
The PBJ Bombolato is like all our childhood dreams come true. How can you go wrong with peanut butter gelato, strawberry sauce, fresh strawberries, and peanuts in a warm Italian doughnut? Answer — YOU CAN’T! This was like a grown-up version of the peanut butter and jelly sandwich we loved as kids.
The strawberry sauce mixed perfectly with the peanut butter, and everything tasted SO fresh. The peanuts added a nice crunchy texture. And although we didn’t think a warm doughnut filled with cold gelato would work, it TOTALLY did.

You can nab this UH-MAZING treat for $9.75.
So there you have it — all our favorite (and not-so-favorite) eats for this month! And we’ll be sure to let you know what new things we try as we move on into November!
