Slowly but surely, as Disney World tiptoes back to normalcy, mandates are being tweaked and removed throughout the resorts and the parks.
Things are also happening at Disney pools! We just noticed a BIG change that will make your next swim feel pretty different!
As Disney World’s resort pools reopened, the biggest change was with pool chairs…or lack thereof.
What minimal chairs Disney put out were spaced far apart to enable social distancing, but just this weekend we noticed that pool chairs are looking a lot more like pre-pandemic times!
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, it was abundantly clear: pool chairs are back in FULL EFFECT!
We haven’t seen this many chairs since the before times!
Small groups of chairs are now spaced MUCH closer together, with larger gaps here and there for separate families.
We saw the same thing at recently reopened All Star Movies Resort, with lots more chairs spaced closer together!
Disney still has signs up reminding guests not to move the chairs.
However, apparently not ALL Disney pools are like this nowadays. When we stopped by Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, we saw that the minimal pool chair situation was still in place.
And signs are still prominently displayed, enforcing social distancing.
Seeing this sea of pool chairs is yet another reminder that things are returning to the way things were, and we’ll continue to update you on the latest Disney World policies. If you need us, we’ll be chilling by the pool!
