The PeopleMover in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland is a favorite among many fans! The slow pace, shade, and fun displays make it a nice way to relax and unwind during a busy day at the parks!
However, today something not-so-relaxing happened on the PeopleMover.
Today, in an unexpected turn of events, the PeopleMover shut down. Although we’re unsure why the PeopleMover shutdown, the situation required guests to be evaluated.

Guests who had to be evacuated were given a FastPass and led out of the ride through an alternate exit. Shutdowns and breakdowns happen at Disney World, and Cast Members are usually very good about making it up to you with either a FastPass or something else!

It is surprising and disappointing that issues continue to occur with an attraction that was closed for a year. It nearly could have nearly been rebuilt in that amount of time, but instead it continues to malfunction. The issues that continue to plague this attraction should be embarrassing to the team responsible for keeping attractions maintained. This attraction deserves better.
This will be my last trip to WDW. It is clear that Bob Chapek is a money-grubbing opportunist. Would not be surprised if guests (suckers) will start to be charged for using the transportation system. I believe that he has now priced-out at least 95% of the American population. It is just too expensive. The best idea I can offer to people is to stay at a reasonably priced hotel/motel offsite and explore everything outside the parks. Believe me, you will be more relaxed. BTW, I have been going to WDW every year since 1981. There used to be perks for staying onsite. Not anymore. We get the privilege for paying what should be included in the onsite experience. Bye-bye WDW.
Disney is so rampantly money grubbing they can’t even keep a low tech ride in operation, Not the Disney that I knew!
