Are you the kind of person who has a hard time deciding what to eat when you go out? Delicious drinks, bite-sized appetizers, fresh seafood, breakfast for dinner — there’s just so much to choose from!
Well, if you head over to The Ben, a boutique hotel in downtown West Palm Beach, you don’t need to pick just one thing. With this new menu item, you can have your drink and eat it too!
This overloaded Bloody Mary is a thing to behold! Called The Benjamin, this mega-sized drink is a traditional Bloody Mary with the exception of the toppings. The traditional celery stick has been traded in for some more filling options, like sushi rolls, lamb chops, lobster tails, and other delicacies (The Orlando Sentinel). This gigantic creation doesn’t come cheap, though — it’s $100!
It was created by the hotel’s new executive chef Marc Rosen, and diners can customize their Benjamin to their tastes. Not a fan of seafood? Swap out those items for something less nautical like a chicken slider. Don’t want the alcohol? These drinks also can be made without booze. It’s basically a shareable meal for 2 with a cocktail added onto the end!
The hotel’s general manager, Bernardo Neto, told The Palm Beach Post that the Benjamin is so big you couldn’t see the person sitting across from you when it’s placed on the table. With its size, it’s a bit easier to understand why the Benjamin costs a Benjamin! If you want to try one out yourself, visit The Ben West Palm to dine at either their Proper Grit Whiskey Library or Spruzzo, their rooftop bar.
That’s about a 2.5-hour drive from Disney World, so if you’re staying in Orlando then it might be a bit of a trek to get to this impressive snack. Still, for big fans of Bloody Marys, maybe the drink is worth the trip!
