The Disney Destiny, the latest ship from the ever-expanding Disney Cruise Line, is just about ready to for guests, and we got to see some of the ship’s NEW elements up close!
The ship, which will have its maiden voyage this November, will be themed to Heroes and Villains and be “inspired by the dynamic duality of every great Disney story when developing this new ship, where opposing forces of light and dark drive characters to rise to their purpose” according to Disney’s Imagineers.
The Destiny will celebrate the “legacies of beloved Disney stories, characters, and theme park attractions” according to the company, which continues throughout the ship’s public spaces, attractions, restaurants, guest rooms, and lounges!
The Destiny’s lounges include Cask and Cannon, De Vil’s, the Haunted Mansion Parlor, The Sanctum, and The Rose.
The Sanctum
The Sanctum will bring passengers into the world of Marvel’s Doctor Strange. The lounge will feature a “mesmerizing array of spellbinding cocktails, spirits, and coffee drinks available at the bar.”

The Sanctum will be Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by the powerful sorcerers and mystical artifacts of Doctor Strange, featuring familiar icons like the Cloak of Levitation and spell books from the library of Kamar-Taj. The centrally located entertainment parlor will host a variety of activities throughout the voyage, offering guests a magical array of mocktails, cocktails, spirits and coffees along with entrancing tableside beverage experiences and exclusive menu items that seemingly materialize from across the multiverse. (Disney)
Around the room are mystical items designed to aid sorcerers in protecting the world. There will be familiar icons like the Cloak of Levitation and spell books, but also new shapes and symbols to admire.

There will be a variety of activities for guests of all ages, and mocktails, cocktails, spirits, and coffee will be available. “Guests will be dazzled by the mystic art of mixology through entrancing tableside beverage experiences and exclusive menu items that seemingly materialize from across the multiverse.”
We even got a sneak peek at some of the food and drinks!

All of those look and sound amazing! We think Doctor Strange would approve.

Cask and Cannon
This Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge promises “plundered treasures, rum bottles, jail cell keys and more. The relaxed atmosphere invites you to catch up on the latest sports while unwinding over an extensive selection of spirits and brews—some served straight from the barrel in true pirate style.”
De Vil’s
De Vil’s is a “stylish lounge that takes a cue from the over-the-top fashionista fiend from the Disney classic 101 Dalmatians. Nestled near the Grand Hall, this chic venue mirrors Cruella’s bold attitude and flair for the dramatic.” Guests will be able to indulge in trendy martinis, old-fashioned cocktails, or high-end bubblies while swaying to the sultry tunes of a black-and-white-spotted piano. Or grab a glass on the go from the walk-up bar.”
Haunted Mansion Parlor
This Haunted Mansion-themed lounge features “lively spirits.” However, Disney warns guests to be forewarned as “grim grinning ghosts are bound to materialize in this spooky hangout serving specially crafted cocktails that are simply… to die for.”
The Rose
The Rose. duplicated from other ships, is a spot to “enjoy a pre- or post-dinner cocktail or glass of wine while admiring sweeping floor-to-ceiling ocean views at this stylish adults-exclusive lounge that calls to mind the enchanted castle from Beauty and the Beast.”
We got to experience elements of the Disney Destiny, and if they’re any indication, the ship is going to be a crown jewel addition to the Disney Cruise Line Fleet. Stay tuned to DFB for more on the new ship!
