Disney Confirms Changes to Napa Rose Restaurant 5 Months After Closure

One of our favorite Disneyland Resort restaurants is undergoing a lengthy refurbishment, and Disney just gave us some really big upgrades!

Napa Rose is a premium dining experience at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and is one of the most upscale restaurants you can visit during a Disneyland trip. However, guests wanting to visit this famous spot have been out of luck the past five months, as it’s been closed for a lengthy refurbishment.

Closed since April 2025, Napa Rose operates differently from most Disneyland restaurants. This fine-dining experience enforces a strict formal dress code and an elegant feel offered only at a handful of other restaurants on the Disneyland Resort property.

Located in the Grand Californian hotel, Napa Rose offers a bit of exclusivity away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks while featuring savory California-inspired cuisine from Chef Andrew Sutton and exquisite wines selected by sommelier Patrick Kirchen. With that said, the restaurant is about to change thanks to some upgrades being installed during the refurbishment.

The long refurbishment will yield “an elevated dining experience, blending timeless Craftsman design with a fresh take on modern Californian sophistication and warmth, and immersing guests in a way only Disney can do.” Disney has also teased designs honoring Craftsman architecture with theming that nods “toward modern Californian luxury and approachability.”

Additionally, in an homage to its Wine Country roots, Napa Rose will offer an outdoor patio with two fireplaces, lush greenery, and soft lighting that give off upscale California winery vibes.

However, the change that we’re perhaps most excited for is the debut of a brand-new menu.

Initially expected to reopen in Fall 2025, Napa Rose is now slated to open in early 2026. While the restaurant is unavailable, the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures character dining experience that’s usually held at Napa Rose is being hosted at the Trillium Room in the Grand Californian.
