One of the best parts of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is the entertainment! This entertainment is exclusive to the after-hours party and requires an extra ticket (and an extra $190+) — until now!
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is coming to Magic Kingdom during daytime hours, and you’ll be able to view it with your normal park ticket. This change is coming soon, so let’s spill all the details.
Mark your calendars for Monday, December 22nd, for the first day to catch this parade during the day! It will run at 12 PM and 3 PM, and you can still catch Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, the new nighttime parade which debuted this summer, at 7 PM and 9:45 PM the same night.
The Festival of Fantasy Parade, which is Magic Kingdom’s normal daytime parade, is taking a break while Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade runs instead so the last day for a little bit to catch it will be on December 21st.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Time Parade will run at 12 PM and 3 PM until December 31st, so you even have time after Christmas to watch it. It’s so cool to see it during the day, too, since during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, it plays at night. During the day, you should be able to see more details.
If you plan on watching the parade, here’s a heads up — it’s going to be BUSY. That time period, a little bit before Christmas until New Year’s, is a very crowded time for the parks, so be prepared for the parade viewing to be busy as well. Main Street, U.S.A. usually fills up first, but we like a quiet spot in Frontierland, where the parade starts.
Even our quieter spots in Frontierland are probably going to be backed up, so if seeing the full parade with a good spot is a priority for you, you’ll want to get there well before 12 PM, and get ready to wait in your spot for an hour or longer. Since this parade is usually behind an additional paywall for a Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ticket, many families watch it during the day.
