As we’ve said many times, there are few things more important to bring on a Walt Disney World vacation than a good park bag.
The latest park bag we’ve found has CHANGED the game to the point that we might never go back!
Loungefly Convertible Tote Bag/Backpack Purse
This stylish bag is perfect for anyone who loves Loungefly bags, loves Mickey (more specifically sorcerer Mickey), or simply likes shiny hues to their bags or to make a statement. Aesthetically, it also works for cosplay or DisneyBound in the parks, or if you just like a statement piece to wear around home. Either way, from our experience, you’ll get loads of compliments wearing it.
On a practical level, in backpack form, it’s an ideal size for kids/preteens that might be carrying along an iPad for travel, books, or a small game system, making it easy to handoff between kids and adults.
The bag’s front design features Sorcerer Mickey embroidered in gold against a crushed velvet blue backing, as well as two included straps that feature gold-tone hardware and blue seatbelt-like straps as a carrying strap, and another two smaller looped ones for the included spots to convert it easily to a backpack.
And if you don’t want straps, there are also two built-in carrying handles. We actually really like this convertible style. It addresses the complaint some guests have about not being able to fit much in their mini-backpacks, while at the same time retaining their portability. Plus, the conversion is super easy. The anchors are already set, and all you have to do is set the strap’s hardware clasp to it, and it slides open to let the anchor through. It wasn’t hard to detach either.
To put it bluntly, it’s much larger than the typical Loungefly, but still has the same quality, branding, and theming elements we’ve come to associate with Loungefly and appreciate about them. You won’t even need the additional internal organizer thanks to the number of pockets!
Now, that being said, the bag isn’t perfect. First off, while we loved the shiny iridescent blue covering, it can scratch really easily if you’re not careful, so you’ll want to carry it with caution and be extra gentle when shoving it into lockers. Speaking of lockers, it’s not tiny, so be sure you’ve got a plan for where to put it when you can’t take it on rides with you, and that you’re extremely careful putting it into a metal locker for holding while on rides.
