If you are looking for a real hair-raising experience at Walt Disney World, adults and kids have several options that don’t involve roller coasters or spooky rides. Check out these locations that are a cut above your everyday hair salon, where kids and adults can get a Magical Makeover!

Harmony Barber Shop 

When you are in Magic Kingdom, just look for the red and white striped Barber Pole on Main Street, and you will find an authentic Victorian barber shop complete with old-fashioned barber chairs and décor.

For around $20, you can get a haircut, beard, or mustache trim. If you want an eye-catching Disney-do, a colorful not-so-hidden Mickey can be applied to your hair with gel and glitter (that’s pixie dust!) for an additional charge.

A child’s first haircut can become a magical memory at the Harmony Barber Shop. This special milestone can be commemorated with a cute certificate and Mickey Ears stitched with “First Haircut.” They even wrap up your child’s locks of hair along with some pixie dust for prosperity.

You can book a haircut up to 60 days in advance via the Walt Disney World website. The Barber Shop is open seven days a week (typically 9AM to 4:45PM), and reservations are strongly suggested. (Note that a $10 charge will apply for no-shows or cancellations within one day of your reservation.)

Pricing for various services starts as follows:

• Adult Haircut — Starts at $19
• Child’s Haircut — Starts at $18
• My First Haircut experience — Starts at $25

Note that gratuity is not included and can only be paid in cash.

The least busy times are early in the day or during an afternoon Parade. If you’re lucky, the Dapper Dans, a barbershop quartet, will stop by to harmonize while you are there!

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique 

The ultimate Royal makeover awaits your special Princess or Brave Knight at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom!

Watch as your little one is magically transformed into Disney Royalty with the help of their very own Fairy Godmother’s Apprentice! Also, as of October 2025, the Fairy Godmother herself is making surprise appearances at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is extremely popular and reservations — which can be made 60 days in advance — are strongly advised. Visit the Walt Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app OR call (407) WDW-STYLE or (407) 939-7895. However, walk-ups may sometimes be accommodated.

Children (ages 3 – 12 ) must have clean, untangled hair, clean nails, and bring their own hairbrush. Princesses may choose from various Royal hair styles, including a “Royal Braid” (a braid surrounding a bun), an “Enchanted” bun (with a bow and tiara), a “Fantasy” hairstyle (with a curly headpiece), and “Pixie Magic” (a colorful extension with a flower halo).

Once you decide on a hairstyle, you can select a makeover package for your child. Please be aware that Disney shares that the following are “Sample Packages,” so there may be additional options to choose from during your visit:

• The Fairy Tale Package: Starting at $119.99 plus tax, includes choice of hairstyle, shimmering makeup and nail polish, Princess sash and cinch sack, and a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique shirt.
• The Kingdom Package: Starting at $229.99 plus tax, includes Disney Princess gown of your choice, Princess crown and wand, choice of hairstyle, shimmering makeup and nail polish, Princess necklace, sash, and cinch sack.
• The Adventure Package: Starting at $59.99 plus tax, includes a Knight shirt, a Mighty sword and shield, and hairstyling with gel.

For those selecting a package that includes a costume, Disney shares that “costumes range from size 3 to 14, with select styles available in extended sizes ranging from 5/6P to 16/18P. All styles and sizes are subject to availability.” 

Disney shares that transformations can take up to 90 minutes. Please be aware that a $10 cancellation fee will be applied to credit cards for no-shows or for cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time.

Disney World Reveals NEW Changes To Magic Kingdom Experience

Hair Wrapping

A unique souvenir from your Disney vacation to wear home is a hair wrap. Similar to hair braiding, brightly colored floss is wound around individual sections of hair to create a rainbow-like pattern. Beads, shells, etc., can be added for a unique look.

Current hair wrap prices are $4 per inch. Add-on bead sets are available.

You can find hair wrap stations at many Disney resorts, including Wilderness Lodge, Yacht and Beach Club, Grand Floridian, Caribbean Beach, and Port Orleans — French Quarter. (Disney has shared that vendors rotate locations, so you may also find hair wrapping stations at Resorts such as Pop Century, Art of Animation, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Polynesian Village, Port Orleans — Riverside, and BoardWalk Inn.) Look for hair wrap stations at Disney’s Water Parks — Typhoon Lagoon, and Blizzard Beach — as well.

If you have time to get your hair wrapped at a theme park, look for a booth near the Island Mercantile on Discovery Island in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. For the most up-to-date info on where to find hair wraps, ask the concierge in your resort lobby for current locations.
