Epcot Food and Wine Festival 101
For novices to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, readers that haven’t ventured into Epcot, or anyone just needing a refresher, we’re providing some starter tidbits. This info will get you to Epcot, in the gate, and on your way to global eats!
Directions to Epcot
On-site guests can utilize their own transportation (rental car or your vehicle driven from home) or Walt Disney World transportation. It’s possible to get to Epcot via monorail, boat, and bus. If you are staying at the BoardWalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, WDW Swan or WDW Dolphin, you’ll also be within walking distance to the International Gateway entrance into Epcot. Which method you arrive Epcot will depend on where you are staying on property. Ask a Cast Member at your hotel for assistance.
If you are not staying at a hotel on Walt Disney World property, then you will need to arrange your own transportation to Epcot in Walt Disney World. If you are driving, you’ll find directions here. Take I-4 Exit 67 for Epcot and follow signs for Epcot.
Parking is provided at a lot near the Future World entrance to Epcot. Follow signs to Epcot once you are on Walt Disney World property. Currently parking is $14 per day. On-site guests and Annual Passholders enjoy complimentary parking. Tables in Wonderland are eligible for a parking refund if they arrive after 5pm and show dining receipt upon exit at Guest Relations.
Trams are offered for your convenience at all of the WDW theme park parking lots. Once you are parked, note your parking lot section and aisle. Many guests like to take a picture so they don’t forget! Then, walk directly to the nearest tram pick up area for your ride to the front gate.
The Festival Center in future world opens at 9am with the rest of the park. The World Showcase booths open at 11am with World Showcase.
There are exhibits and culinary demos happening before 11am in the Festival Center. Most of the culinary demos are ticketed events, but you may be able to purchase a ticket right before they begin.
The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival has complimentary offerings that are included with your Epcot admission. These include sample wine tastings, the cranberry bog, and meet ‘n greets with celebrity chefs. Then there are extra-cost events to further enhance your experience. These are found under our low-cost and special event pages. In addition, you can purchase food items from the marketplace booths.
Your Epcot admission cost will be dependent on whether you are purchasing a one day ticket or a multi-day pass to Walt Disney World. A one-day ticket is currently $94.79 for ages 10 and up; $88.40 for kids 3-9; tax included. Florida residents are eligible for discounts. In addition, you may find discounted tickets through your local AAA Automobile club office.
With your Epcot admission fee, you’ll receive access to all shows, attractions, and rides at Epcot. In addition, you can visit some of those complimentary Food and Wine offerings mentioned above.
The festival is held throughout Epcot. You’ll find the Festival Welcome Center in Future World and the marketplace booths surrounding the World Showcase Lagoon. See your Festival Map!
