For novices to the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, readers that haven’t ventured into EPCOT, or anyone just needing a refresher, we’re providing some starter tidbits. This info will get you to EPCOT, in the gate, and on your way to global eats!
Directions to EPCOT
On-site guests can utilize their own transportation (rental car or your vehicle driven from home) or Walt Disney World transportation. It’s possible to get to EPCOT via monorail, Disney Skyliner, boat, and bus.
The Disney Skyliner is a gondola system which connects EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios with four Disney Resorts: Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (which is also home to the Skyliner hub), Disney’s Rivera Resort, and Disney’s Pop Century and Art of Animation Resorts.
Which method you arrive EPCOT will depend on where you are staying on property. Ask a Cast Member at your hotel for assistance.
If you are not staying at a hotel on Walt Disney World property, then you will need to arrange your own transportation to EPCOT in Walt Disney World. If you are driving, you’ll find directions here. Take I-4 Exit 67 for EPCOT and follow signs for EPCOT.
Parking is available at a lot near the World Celebration entrance to EPCOT. Follow signs to EPCOT once you are on Walt Disney World property. Currently, standard parking is $25 per day. Guests staying at a Disney World Resort Hotel and Annual Passholders enjoy complimentary parking.
Parking Trams are offered for your convenience at all of the WDW theme park parking lots to transport guests from their parking spot directly to the park entrance. Once you are parked, note your parking lot section and aisle. Many guests like to take a picture so they don’t forget! Then, walk directly to the nearest tram pick up area for your ride to the front gate.
The Marketplace Festival food booths typically open at 11AM with World Showcase.
In previous years, there have been exhibits and culinary demos presented before 11AM in the Festival Center. (When available, most of the culinary demos are ticketed events, but you may be able to purchase a ticket right before they begin.) As EPCOT is currently in the midst of a multi-year transformation, a Festival Center has not been available in recent years to accommodate construction in the park.
However, a dedicated Festival area is coming to Disney World’s EPCOT to serve as the new “home base” for EPCOT’s seasonal Festivals and live events! CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza will be housed in EPCOT’s World Celebration (which is slated for completion in late 2023), bringing EPCOT International Festivals “to the center of Walt Disney World,” according to Disney. We will keep you posted as this project progresses.
The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival has complimentary offerings that are included with your EPCOT admission. These include Eat to the Beat Concerts, exhibits, and meet and greets with celebrity chefs. There are also extra-cost events to further enhance your experience. These are found under our low-cost and special events pages. In addition, you can purchase food items from the Marketplace Booths.
Your EPCOT admission cost will depend on whether you are purchasing a one day ticket or a multi-day pass to Walt Disney World. 1 park per day tickets for adults start at $109 per day and tickets for children (age 3-9) start at $104 per day. Additionally, ticket prices vary by day. Dates that are expected to be more in demand will generally be priced higher, while dates during Disney’s “slower” seasons will be less expensive. Prices do not include tax. Click HERE for our complete guide to Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets.
Florida residents are eligible for discounts. In addition, you may find discounted tickets through your local AAA Automobile club office.
With your EPCOT admission fee, you’ll receive access to all shows, attractions, and rides at EPCOT. In addition, you can visit some of those complimentary EPCOT Food and Wine Festival offerings mentioned above.
The festival is held throughout EPCOT. In previous years, you could find the Festival Welcome Center in the area of the park previously known as Future World (which is now divided into three distinct neighborhoods: World Celebration, World Nature, and World Discovery. Please note that EPCOT is currently in the midst of a multi-year transformation, and the building that previously served as the Festival Center is under construction.
The majority of the marketplace booths surround the World Showcase Lagoon. However, additional booths have expanded into the area previously known as Future World (again, now known as World Celebration, World Nature, and World Discovery). Your festival map will provide additional details.
