Just got an infusion of Crystal Palace and Magic Kingdom refurb pics in the ol’ email box from some friends at WDWforGrownups.com. Hopefully will have more Disney dining refurb photos from another good friend who’s in WDW this week, so stay tuned!!
Crystal Palace Refurb: Everything shrouded and boarded up, so there’s not too much to see, but clearly there’s “big doin’s” going on!
Bridge Between CP and Liberty Square: Looks like the bridge is under renovation as well. Our source mentioned that he saw them working on a bridge over near the moat where the Electric Water Pageant floats are kept (you can see it from the monorail on the way from the GF to the MK).
Also, a pic of the drained Magic Kingdom moat…

Even though I have deemed January our favorite Disney trip month, I am kind of glad this year’s trip is in November. I am all for refurbishing but the drained moat is just eerie!
Thanks for the update!

I was just commenting to DH that it seems like EVERYTHING is being refurbed right now. Even Splash Mtn is down, right?
Janna says
Ironically, I think only ONE of our trips in the last five years occurred when Splash was NOT being refurbed!
AJ says
Ha! We accidentally went while Splash was down one year and DH will NOT allow it to happen ever again. You know those people who get on Splash 30 minutes before the park closes and ride it 10 times in a row? Yeah. That’s us. Thanks, DH. 😉
