Update!@marcomboy
tweeted to me the following regarding his Pecos Bill’s Angus Burger review!:
Tried the new Angus burger @ Pecos Bill. Manager was going around and asking for opinions on its first day of being served.
The burgers are pretty lean. Not too greasy. They had a decent char on them, like you would over BBQ at home. Good stuff.
Then, based on comments I’d received on this post, I asked him if the buns were falling apart. He responded:
I don’t remember them crumbling like I know wheat buns can. Both my wife and I took full advantage of the condiment bar. Onions, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, the works — and they seem to hold up just fine.

WDWInfo is reporting that there are two new burgers on the menu over at Pecos Bill’s! They will now be serving a one-third pound Angus burger and a one-third pound specialty Angus burger.
No word yet on price, or on what, exactly, differentiates a “specialty” angus burger from a regular angus burger, but I just figured I’d let those of you who like some serious meat know about the change!
Thanks to Kelly Tressler for the heads up!

I hope this is a great change! I was not a fan of the overly greasy beef they were serving before.
Yay for new burgers!
I hope they mimic the ones at McDonalds. Sad, but true. Their Angus burgers are yummy! (Hopefully not on a wheat bun!)
I’m hearing a LOT of flack about the buns, Stephanie and Kelly — were they that bad? I remember liking them! 🙂
We were at Pecos Bills in October. Boyfriend got a Pulled Pork Sandwich and it was on a whole wheat bun, it just fell apart on him…
I think it’s time for an investigation!
Photos please! 🙂
I hear ya, Jo! I’m headed to WDW in two weeks, but will only be there for two days; here’s hoping I can get over to Pecos Bill!
It sounds very good to me. Still, a Buffalo burger would be leaner and really fit the Frontierland theme. Yah, I’ll shutup now. 🙂
Scott — Let’s campaign!! They have ostrich at Jiko, and Buffalo at Artist Point, after all!
I would love it if the buns did not contain dairy. I’m lactose intolerant and the buns they use in the parks all have dairy. So, they give me the anti-everything (gluten, egg, peanut, dairy free bun) and it’s really really bad.
There are plenty of great dairy free buns in the world. But alas… at least the burgers seem to be not greasy w/ some char..sounds nice!
Stephanie — Yep — I’m pretty excited about trying them!! Great point on the lactose intolerant free buns. We should do a blog post mentioning all of our “hopes and dreams” for Disney food…
I believe the specialty burger included bacon and onion rings BBQ sauce
Thanks, Eric!!
