Disney World has introduced a new way to celebrate New Year’s Eve — dessert and dinner parties!
On December 30th, Fireworks Dessert Parties will be held at 7:30pm and 10:50pm. On December 31st, the party will be held at 10:30pm. Adults: $39.99; Kids: $21.99. You can see photos from our Wishes Dessert Party (and others!) on our Wishes Dessert Party page.
Even better, a Dinner and Dessert party will be held on December 31st at 6:15pm. Dinner will include artisan breads, fruit, cheeses, sushi, salads, seared tuna, beef short-ribs and carved pork and will be followed by a variety of desserts. For this event, pricing is at $155.99 for adults and $76.99 for kids.

The dessert parties are definitely worth it, especially on crowded nights. As for the dinner… at $155.99 per person I expect much more than they will ever hope to deliver. As a point of comparison I ate three courses from the dinner menu at the Michelin rated three star Jean Georges for $90. From a pure food perspective this isn’t worth the price. I’ll give you an extra 25% for ambiance, but that’s as far as I can go here. $155.99. Unbelievable.
This is a wonderful idea to have a party for New Year’s.
I wonder if they are allowed to serve drinks or not on the resort property. I know Epcot can, but still.
