Disney continues to move technology forward in it’s dining systems and restaurants. Just recently, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in the Magic Kingdom installed LCD screens to feature menu items.
We’ve seen screens like this at some food courts and counter-service restaurants for a while, but making the change in some of the theme park restaurants is new for Disney.
Don’t forget to look at Bay 1, 2, and 3 for all of your dining options, including burgers, chicken, salads, and more! As a Tomorrowland restaurant, we find it fitting that Cosmic Ray’s is entering the digital age… 😉
Along with a menu list, the video screens at each bay also showcase rotating food images!
Tell us what you think about this change. Pro, con, or “this doesn’t really change my experience all that much?”

Thanks for the head’s up! I don’t think this will change my experience at all.
I’m a HUGE Cosmic Ray’s fan, and go at least once every trip. But I always get the exact same thing – the Bacon Double Cheeseburger and fries. That’s why I go 🙂
So unless they take that off the menu complete, I say go crazy with the LCD updates!
Gaylin says
I was just there and the 1/2 rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans still tastes great, the LCD screens didn’t change my lunch!
Kim says
LOL! I agree with both of you, Gaylin and Jeff. It’s all about the food!! And maybe a bit of entertainment from Sonny too.

I hope the day comes soon when you can place an order on your smart phone and pay for it with the phone and just pick up your order. Those line can be horrible.

It would be good if you didn’t have to wait in line twice to get two different meals from different Bays — I never go in there anymore . . .

Aw. I was hoping it was the menu screens you could order from, which would be great for getting anything the restaurant offers all at once instead of having to split everybody up.
