Disney Springs is essentially Disney World’s outdoor mall, with almost 100 stores and gift shops, more than 60 restaurants and snack stands, and over 20 entertainment offerings.
But, we’ve been seeing quite a few closures happening around Disney Springs over the past year with stores like the Art of Shaving, the Sosa Family Cigars shop over by Salt & Straw; then, more recently, the UGG store closed its doors as well. And recently, another store joined that list.
Another one bites the dust — and this time, it’s the Sanuk store at Disney Springs. This sandal and shoe store was one of the first stores to open in The Landing area of Disney Springs back in 2015, but the shop is now permanently closed.
We stopped by the old location to see if we could garner any additional intel, but all we could see were signs on the door advising that “Something new is coming soon.” As for now, we haven’t heard any announcements from Disney about what could potentially be taking Sanuk’s place, but we’ll certainly be on the lookout for more news.
When we went to check the Disney Springs website, we got the classic error message showing that “Stitch ate the page!”
Sanuk is just the latest in a long list of store closures at Disney Springs. As of this May, the Melissa shoe store had officially closed as well. This shop sold jelly shoes and other accessories made from recyclable materials.
Luckily, this just means that more exciting stores are potentially on the way at Disney Springs, though folks who enjoyed shopping at Sanuk will now have to find those shoes somewhere else. As trends change, it makes sense that certain stores would pop up and close.
Make sure you stop by Disney Springs on your next visit to see all the latest changes and get your shopping and dining on! In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for the latest news from Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more!

Hi Lisa! As of right now we have not received an official opening date. We are always keeping an eye on it and will definitely post if we find out exactly when it’s opening.

i’m sad that stores are closing as it means unemployment for people but some stores i walked and turned right around. Some of these stores looked more outlet y to me and were really after a niche market. it will be interesting to see who replaces them.
