More About the World Showcase Kiosks
Set up around the World Showcase, over 25 individual kiosks will offer regional and national delicacies to sample and taste. Small plates and beverages priced between $3-$7 for most give guests the chance to try specialty recipes from International locations!
In 2011, the France booth delighted the senses with an escargot dish, crème brulée for dessert, and a Parisien Cosmo Slush.
Canada is an extremely popular stop at the festival. This kiosk usually serves up a delectable cheddar cheese soup. It’s not-to-be missed!
Fun cast members make your culinary journey truly memorable!
If we’re lucky, Morocco will be serving up their fantastic Baklava!
Mexico is a lively stop every year – with great food and drinks. Margaritas!
Menu Pricing
2011 prices for most dishes were in the $3 – $5 range. However, we found options as low as $1.50 and as high as $7.25. That expensive item – Linda Bean’s Perfect Maine Lobster Roll – was available as a Disney Dining Plan snack credit at the Hops & Barley booth. That’s a great value!
Take a look at the example below. There are 3 items available for use with your Disney Dining Plan Snack Credit. Use your credits for the most expensive items, and if you are hankering for that pumpkin mousse at $1.50, then pay OOP (out-of-pocket). However, purchasing one of the more expensive items using a snack credit will get you a great counter-service “meal”!
In 2011, beer was $5 – $8.25. That pricier brew was Dos Equis at the Marketplace booth. Most offerings were in the $5-6.50 range, including craft beer! Most wines were $2 – $5.50 and mixed drinks averaged $7 – $9.
Payment Options
Ready to order? The Marketplace booths accept many forms of payment, including: cash, credit card, Key to the World card (with room charging privileges), Disney gift card, and Disney Visa reward dollars.
In addition, don’t forget that you can use your Disney Dining Plan snack credits. When doing so, you’ll get the best value by purchasing the most expensive DDP snack eligible items with your DDP and then, paying out-of-pocket for less expensive items.
A convenient method of payment is the Epcot Food and Wine Festival gift card. Load it up, and you’re on your way. There’s even a convenient wrist card that helps you keep your hands free for plates and wine glasses! Purchase yours at Epcot’s Main Entrance ticket booths, Guest Relations, or at select merchandise locations.
As you make your journey through the marketplace booths, look for new tastes to try and of course, stop for old favorites (Canada’s Cheddar Cheese Soup!).
