Thanks to Pam Brandon over at the Disney Parks Blog, we have even more details on the new Landscape of Flavors food court (which seems to have undergone a name change since we last reported!) opening this summer with Disney’s Art of Animation Resort!
Dining Concept
According to Disney Parks and Resorts Director of Food & Beverage Concept Development, Chef Ed Wronski, the focus of this new type of food court is customization. Guests will be able to “make your own” and choose from a variety of options more often in this spot.
Start planning now how you want to create your gelato sundae, smoothies, omelet, pasta, salad, sandwich, and more! There will also be a focus on “better-for-you” options in this location, so perhaps going of your diet won’t be as much of a temptation here! (Wait a minute…who are we kidding? They’ll still have Mickey Bars won’t they?)
Individual Menu Items
Like the other value and moderate resorts, this food court will still be a regular old food court in that it will have five “shops,” each themed to a particular type of food.

The food court will be part of the Disney Dining Plan, and guests will be able to order pizza delivery to their rooms as they can in other value and moderate resorts.
Can’t wait to hear more about this spot! Are you booked to stay at Art of Animation? What food court items are you most looking forward to?

Thanks for keeping us up to date with the news on this food court. In October I’ll be taking a trip over to the Art of Animation resort to look at the design and will obviously need to give the food court a little taste test while I’m there 😉
Alan says
This looks like more positive news of the Disney folks upping the quality of their food court offerings. Some of those items are a definite notch above what has been available in the past. I’ve pretty much avoided them for awhile, but if this is a harbinger for all the courts, then they deserve a closer look. Good for them!

Can’t wait to see it, but don’t understand why they seemingly haven’t priced the resort comparably with Pop and the other values.
I’ll be happy to walk across the bridge to sample however, for make-your-own salad!
AJ says
DD — I’ll join you! 🙂
Alan — Agreed!
Adam — Most of the rooms at Art of Animation are family suites, which give you extra room and a kitchenette area. This is likely why they’re priced higher than other values.

oh wow! world flavors shop! I’m loving these different options that are out there.. and the limeade and the organic teas are a welcome addition for me not to mention the smoothies! I love that there are healthier options here! I’m also planning on staying either at POP or Art of Animation for the TOT 10 mile weekend so I’ll check out the food court then!

Is it just me, or does anyone find it funny that Disney is advertising “healthy choices,” and then gives examples like “Buffalo-style turkey sandwich with arugula and a blue cheese-Buffalo sauce-mayo spread, served with house-made potato chips,” “steak burger topped with fried eggs, cheese, and bacon,” and “pastrami cheeseburger topped with pepper jack cheese and a slice of fried green tomato”?! 😀

I love these breakfast options! I’m so tired of the usual “breakfast platter.” It will be nice to have more unique options.

what possessed them to ruin a buffalo chicken sandwich with mayonnaise I wonder
catherine says
sorry, turkey

We will definitely check it out next January (!) LOL long after everyone else has had a chance to give us their recommendations! Loving the World Flavors!

Menu at World of Flavors sounds delicious and worth a trip!
Lisa says
I’m sorry but this menu is adult driven and my kids will not touch world flavors. I hope they bring back the hot dogs, hot turkey and the cute mickey mouse waffles. I wish they kept the idea of the other food courts they have.
Sarah says
I agree with you Anne! LOL!
I also agree with Lisa about the choices for the kids. Do they have enough choices for them? If I stay at AOA am I going to have to run to Pop Century and find chicken McNuggets for the kids and eat? LOL! If I’m going to have to get in my car and drive to Pop, then I might as well eat out of the resort and eat better and cheaper! Just saying…
What I want to know is where is the Ice cream? I don’t want gellato or whatever! LOL! I’m on vacation! LOL! We don’t eat ice cream all the time but on vacation its nice to buy a cup or cone since we are on vacation.
I did see some pictures of menus that had Mickey Waffles, pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, pizza, hamburgers. I don’t remember seeing a hotdog but I think they do have a few of the American favorites. I read a few complaints about the Mac & Cheese and their children didn’t like it! I think it was baked instead of Kraft out of a box! LOL! I love baked mac & cheese but I can see where kids may not if they are used to the other!
One thing I do think I would like to try is some of the Pasta dishes & Salads. I like both! But I know from watching what we eat that sometimes a Pasta dish or Salad isn’t as low calarie or healthy as you may think! LOL!
