We’ve got a fun update for you tequila fans out there!
Nestled inside the pyramid at the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot, La Cava del Tequila is one of our favorite hang-outs in Walt Disney World.
This place is well known for awesome margaritas, a relaxing atmosphere, and my very favorite queso in all the land!
And it looks like more unique fun may be on the horizon at La Cava.
This tweet from the uber-popular Epcot bar hints at a new merchandise option…
Check it out!
Me personally? I’d rather have my personalized margarita glass, but maybe we can make this do double duty.
We’ve emailed for more info and will keep you updated on what we find out…
What do you think about purchasing a personalized glass at La Cava?
Galloping Gourmand says
I bet they use the glass studio to make them.
I can’t imagine how big their storage area will be. DVC Members alone will take up some massive storage. Maybe they’ll do double duty on the John Smith’s 🙂
AJ, please ask if you will have the option to take them home at any point?
Dana says
That does sound like an awful lot of storage – I would rather have a glass personalized that I could take home.

Hummmmm… Krylon and Rustoleum both make a temporary frosted glass etching product that you spray on through a stencil. It looks good for a single event, and then kind of starts eroding away and flaking off… and totally comes off with a single washing. I can’t see them storing 1000’s of glasses unless it’s an uber high-dollar, low volume privilege. Using a digital stencil printer to one-off a name when you get there, spray on the etching, and serve in that glass… is totally doable.
What’s shown in the grainy image looks sort of like spray on etching… which would be rather funny. Your glass is always here for you… because your glass is actually everyone else’s glass too… we just wash them and spray new names on them. Glass time sharing! Ha!!!!
I’ve seen this used by event planners before, where there’s assigned seating, but the party names are etched in the stemware rather than written on place setting cards. It comes in gold and silver as well as frosted etching.
Either way… personal observation… I’ve had tequila in a Dixie cup before, and it was pretty darn good. Maybe… if it were real etching, and had the La Cava name/logo on it, had the date I was there… and I could take it with me as a souvenir, I would be interested.

Any idea of when these will be available? Heading down the beginning of Oct/14.
