Disney World is seeing so many changes in 2026, including The Walt Disney Studios Courtyard, Bluey’s Wild World, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, and Soarin’ Across America.

Believe it or not, Disney has even more changes up its sleeve for 2027! Disney World will have four massive changes coming next year.

Pueblo Esperanza

Disney announced the newest addition to Animal Kingdom at D23 in 2024. The Tropical Americas land will feature an Encanto ride, an Indiana Jones ride, and a Disney animal-themed carousel.

Construction is well underway, with permits for the finishing touches already filed. The land is set to open in 2027, so we’re hoping to get an official opening date soon!

Lakeshore Lodge

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is a new Disney Vacation Club resort that will be opening in Disney World in the summer of 2027!

Lakeshore Lodge will have 967 rooms, which will include a variety of options, including studios and suites. Disney has also noted that many of the rooms will have views of Bay Lake and the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Plus, Lakeshore Lodge will debut with new 1- and 2-bedroom Lake Houses along the waterfront.

Magic Kingdom’s Carousel of Progress

Disney has announced some HUGE changes for the Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom — the entire ride is changing! A Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic will be added. AND each scene will be completely overhauled to feature new decades — and we’ll even get a glimpse into the future!

Carousel of Progress closed on July 6th to make way for these massive changes. It is expected to reopen sometime in 2027. 

Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan

The Disney Dining Plan is a prepaid meal plan that sets the number of meals and snacks that you can get during your trip. Starting in 2027, there’s a new version — the Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan!

This dining plan includes two table service entrées, dessert (lunch and dinner only), or a full buffet; One quick service meal, including entrée or combo meal; One snack/nonalcoholic drink; and one Resort refillable drink mug per person.

New Ferryboat

For the first time in 50 years, Disney World is expanding its fleet of ferryboats that take guests between the Transportation and Ticket Center and Magic Kingdom. A new ferryboat will debut in 2027!

A team of engineers has been working on the ferryboat for some time while been under construction at a marina in Florida. The ferry will be shipped to Disney World in pieces over the next couple of weeks. The fourth ferryboat of the fleet will be called Meg Gilbert Crofton, named after Disney World’s fourth president.
