Disney World is always making changes — always. Some come with massive announcements, and others are small and require a trained eye to notice.
Can you spot the change?
These recent changes are making us go “oh?” We’re kinda scratching our heads, but here are a few recent changes that might affect your upcoming trip.
You thought the Disney World changes were over for a while? HA! It feels like they’re never going to end these days!
Construction is going on all around the resort thanks to the addition of new lands like Villains Land, Monstropolis, and Pueblo Esperanza. While these are examples of major projects, there are little changes going on all the time as well. For example, Disney World is changing BIG TIME next month! Hollywood Studios has changed a lot recently. Between Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run with The Mandalorian and Grogu, and an entire new land with The Walt Disney Studios, there are so many new and exciting things to do!

But a popular Disney World bar and lounge is also changing! The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge is currently under construction, and the outdoor patio now looks completely different!

But Disney World’s My Disney Experience app just added a major new mobile ordering change that could affect your next meal. Here’s everything you need to know about the change.
Disney World had an annoying problem – if you wanted a crispy soda straight from the fountain, you’d have to go to a quick-service restaurant, often with long lines and no open tables. The popcorn carts and outdoor food stands didn’t have a soda machine for your soda fix – but that just massively changed!

When we heard that some popcorn carts and snack stands in Disney World started offering fountain drinks, we had to investigate. We learned that yes, the rumors are true, and yes, you can get a crispy fountain soda at select popcorn carts now! But then we wondered, which ones?
This January, Disney started repainting the iconic Cinderella Castle in a new blue-and-white color scheme. The castle has now officially been repainted at Magic Kingdom, and it’s looking great!

So when we went on the My Disney Experience app while in Magic Kingdom this morning, we noticed a massive change to the castle!
When we’re at EPCOT, we love stopping by the BoardWalk for great food, fun entertainment, and stunning lake views. But lately, the BoardWalk has been plagued by construction between Jellyrolls, the mysterious Project Amazon, and Project Bubbles!

Disney just filed a new Notice of Commencement permit to install signs on the BoardWalk, and we’re pretty sure we know what top-secret new location it’s for.
Disney’s Boardwalk Resort is the former home of the popular dueling piano bar Jellyrolls, which suddenly closed in April 2025. Earlier this month, Disney started working on the building!

We went to check out the progress recently, and Jellyrolls now looks pretty unrecognizable. While the signature striped paint job is still intact, the rest of the building has been gutted!

Disney World is seeing so many changes in 2026, including The Walt Disney Studios Courtyard, Bluey’s Wild World, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, and Soarin’ Across America.

Already in 2026, Disney World has permanently closed DinoLand U.S.A, rides are being refurbished, major lands are under construction, and throughout the year, we’ll get new offerings! As we said, a LOT is happening this year, but Disney Adults are hoping that even more changes will be announced soon.
