We’re big Disney merch collectors and, as such, always scoping out all the latest souvenir offerings. During our own souvenir hunts, we discovered that Target released some NEW Loungefly bags, vinyl soundtracks, and more — and we’re sharing all the details with you!
If you’re a millennial visiting Magic Kingdom, you may be faced with a new problem!
Magic Kingdom
No, we’re not talking about how difficult it is to get in and out of the Space Mountain ride vehicles now, or that you may need to take an antacid before you start your Magic Kingdom snack crawl. We mean that the park is CHANGING, and it doesn’t look quite like how you remember it growing up!
Trends come and go, and that is for sure the case with Disney souvenirs.
Emporium
We have seen bucket hats, belt bags (fanny packs), and so many other classic Disney souvenirs become trendy again. Recently, an updated version of an old Disney souvenir has hit the shelves again, and it is so popular that Disney keeps releasing new versions. Millennials are loving this “new” souvenir, and it is flying off the shelves in the park, and it is now finally online!

I’ve been going to Disney World since before I could walk and I’m lucky to still live within a few hours of the parks, so I visit every chance I get — for business and for pleasure (I am an editor here at Disney Food Blog after all, so sometimes it really IS my job to go to Disney World!). A gloomy Magic Kingdom
As a millennial, I can safely say that our generation just does Disney World differently. There are quite a few of us on the DFB staff and we don’t shy away from expressing our thoughts and feelings about a Disney vacation. From examining Disney trends to reminiscing in old Disney nostalgia, Disney Adult millennials have a lot to say about the Disney Parks, including all the things we REFUSE to do when we visit Disney World.
Travel continues to change, specifically when we’re talking about the differences between how different generations travel.

In general, it seems like people are traveling now more than ever, which, believe it or not, poses some new challenges for Disney World. There are some Disney World hotel trends we think we’ll be seeing soon, too. Millennials and Gen Z are already making an impact on the travel industry, meaning that many travel companies, like Disney Cruise Line, have to figure out a new way to appeal to those travelers. Gen Z, in particular, is really shaking things up, and there’s one longtime travel trend they’re just ignoring.
