While some announcements have been bittersweet, like the location of the new ‘Cars’ expansion and Monsters, Inc. land, Disney World will soon be home to so many new attractions and experiences! And if you are looking to visit Disney World in the coming years to experience all the latest projects, you will be able to stay at a BRAND- NEW hotel starting in 2027!

When is Muppets Courtyard Closing in Disney World?

When Disney first announced that Monsters, Inc. Land would be coming to Hollywood Studios, they left out where this new land would be located.

Based on the concept art and the layout of Hollywood Studios, fans speculated that it would go in place of the Animation Courtyard or Muppets Courtyard. Fast forward to about three months later, and Disney finally revealed the new land’s location. The brand-new Monsters, Inc. Land will be taking the current location of Muppets Courtyard.

We have been following along with the Treasure’s journey as we prepare for Disney Cruise Line’s sixth ship to take her maiden voyage on December 21st! Disney Cruise Line is known for rotational dining across all of its ships. Each night, your server team will come with you as you rotate to three dining rooms on board the ship. The Disney Treasure will feature three different dining rooms, and recently, we got a sneak peek of them!

2024 has been a year full of change at Disney World!

One of the biggest changes happened over the summer when we said goodbye to Genie+ and hello to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. This new pay-to-skip-the-line service completely changed the way that Lightning Lanes were purchased and booked, and in some way, the new system mimics its predecessor, FastPass+. Many people seem to glance over two other changes that were made with this new system, but they are essential to think about, especially when planning your trip!

Major changes are about to hit Disney World.

It was announced that Disney World would be getting eight new rides, which is super exciting, but in order to enjoy these rides, we have to deal with construction. You can expect to see construction in all four parks starting in 2025. Not only does construction mean walls around the parks, but it also means that we can expect lengthy closures, like Big Thunder Mountain’s year-long closure in Magic Kingdom.

Earlier this year, at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, it was revealed that Disney World would be getting eight new rides! Unfortunately, this means that the parks will be filled with construction walls for a while as these new projects are built. The good news is that while some projects are years away, a ton of new offerings will debut next year, two of which will be at EPCOT!

It is finally time to go down the bayou with Tiana and all of her friends at Disneyland!

While Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened in Disney World over the summer, Disneyland’s version of the ride opened today! With the opening of this attraction, Bayou Country, which was re-imagined from Critter Country, is also officially complete! We are here on opening day, and we were surprised by the crowd levels in Bayou Country on this attraction’s opening day.

4 Things We Hope Disney World Changes in 2025

We are less than two months away from the start of 2025!

Disney World will see significant changes when the new year rolls around. The first round of closures will hit DinoLand U.S.A., and we can expect to see construction start on projects in all four parks. So many new offerings will open, including two new lounges, Test Track 3.0, Zootopia: Better Zoogether, Disney Starlight, The Little Mermaid—A Musical Adventure, and the Disney Villains stage show. Whew! That is a lot of change in one year! 

While Disney World is the one calling the shots on changes, we want to throw our hat in the ring as we hope these four things change in Disney World in 2025!

Not only are the parks receiving upgrades, but a brand new hotel perk will also debut for Disney World resort guests. With all these changes, these five Disney World trends are on the verge of extinction.
