I have visited Disney World hundreds of times, but only recently did I realize I had been making one BIG mistake at EPCOT.
EPCOT Bus
Confession time: I thought I had Disney World transportation figured out. I’ve ridden the buses, boats, and Skyliner gondolas more times than I can count. But with a transportation system this big, it’s easy to fall into a habit that’s not actually saving you any time. And it turns out I’ve been taking the WRONG bus to EPCOT for years.
When it comes to deciding where to stay during a Disney World vacation, transportation to the resort’s four theme parks should always be a factor. Of course, Disney has its own massive transportation infrastructure, offering a system of buses, boats, Monorails, and Skyliner gondolas connecting their 30+ hotels with the parks. However, there are other options for those staying at a non-Disney-owned hotel.
The shuttle
This includes shuttle service provided to guests at the Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista, located in the Disney Springs Resort Area. However, there is one massive rule guests need to know about this transportation.

What’s going on here?
The theme parks are expanding, new hotels are on the way, and Disney Springs is even getting new restaurants! It’s safe to say there’s been a lot of “new” over the last few years. That’s why we were seriously surprised when we saw something we had never seen before outside of the park!
If you’ve been to Disney World, then odds are you’ve been on a Disney bus before. This free bus system connects all four theme parks, Disney Springs, and every Disney hotel!

We were riding a Disney bus on Friday morning when we had the most magical experience!
Memorial Day is right around the corner (yes, somehow it’s May and Memorial Day Weekend is just a few weeks away — where has the time gone?), and that means crowds could be about to ramp up in Disney World again.

This is especially true since the holiday also falls right around the time when some kids get out of school for the summer, and many families begin their holiday with a Disney trip. With all that in mind, knowing things may be more crowded for that weekend, we just want to make sure we’re all prepared — it’s POSSIBLE, but not guaranteed, that Disney could bring back their new unpopular bus rule in Disney Springs.
One of the greatest benefits of Disney World is the free transportation, but just like everything, there’s the bad that comes with the good.
Disney bus
Disney buses can be one of the easiest Disney World transportation options as they are offered at every park and Disney resort, making it easy to get around. However, some things can make the bus ride a bummer, and it starts with bus lice.
Perks have been a major part of staying at Disney World hotels from the very beginning, and for many guests, these perks make the comparatively higher prices “worth it.”
All-Star Movies
Not only are you immersed in the Disney magic (we call it the “Disney bubble”), but you can also use complimentary Disney transportation to get wherever you need to go. Sometimes, you have the choice of taking a Monorail, boat, or the Skyliner, but other times, your only choice will be the bus. Disney buses can be great, but we have a MASSIVE gripe with the bus stops at some Disney World hotels. Hear us out.
While Disney World certainly benefits from the “blessing of size,” as Walt Disney famously put it, the size of the property can certainly make getting around a pain. After all, Disney World’s land mass is literally the size of San Francisco, and that means that it can take you a WHILE to hop from one place to another, whether you’re heading to the parks, hotels, Disney Springs, or anywhere else using Disney’s transportation infrastructure.

Of Disney’s transportation options, bus transportation is often the simplest solution to getting around the parks, but just sitting around and waiting for those buses is a nuisance! Good thing we’ve got a hack to help you improve that wait!
If I’m going to Disney World’s All-Star Resorts, it’s probably against my will.
All-Star Music
Alright, that may be a slight exaggeration, but when I say that these hotels aren’t anywhere near the top of my list (and probably not at the top of many people’s lists!), that’s quite true. All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, and All-Star Sports may be the cheapest of the Disney World resorts, but sometimes that means dealing with some super cringey things when you stay there!
