Today, April 10th, is a VERY special day, especially if you happen to have a brother or sister.

That’s because it’s National Siblings Day, a day set aside to honor the special bonds that siblings share. The holiday was founded in 1995 by Claudia Evart, who was inspired to honor her siblings after losing her brother. Now, 34 years later, Disney is honoring siblings by spotlighting three sisters who all work at Disney World as Cast Members.
I go to Disney World ALL. THE. TIME. And that means I interact with Cast Members pretty frequently!
Cast Members are the MAGIC!
During my face time with Disney’s hard-working employees, I try to be the perfect guest. I offer words of encouragement, follow their directions closely, and occasionally crack a joke to hopefully make their day a little better. Hopefully, all that teacher’s pet behavior makes up for what I’m about to confess…there are some Cast Members I AVOID.
Disney World hotels are supposed to be the “take a deep breath, kick off your shoes, and inhale the lobby scent” part of the vacation. You know, the oasis. The soft landing. The place where you refill your resort mug, dramatically flop onto the bed, and pretend you’re absolutely not going to mobile order a fourth snack before midnight.

But as our readers reminded us, Disney World Resort hotels can also be the stage for some truly unhinged vacation moments.
Magic Kingdom is BUSY right now, y’all. Not only is Disney busy building a Cars expansion in Frontierland and a new Villains land behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (which is getting a big update), but Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Tomorrowland has also been getting a MASSIVE upgrade.

Disney recently revealed that Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin would reopen on April 8th, but ahead of that, there will be early previews of the newly updated ride. Well, Disney has confirmed the first round of previews will begin VERY SOON for Cast Members.
Disney Adventure World, the reimagined second park coming to Disneyland Paris, is almost ready to open on March 29th. There are new attractions, restaurants, and characters, and we seriously couldn’t be more excited.
