Disney had initially planned to reopen Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure on July 17th, but they later delayed the reopening pending theme park guidelines from the state of California. Disney World is currently promoting many new health and safety measures in its newly reopened parks. From face masks to temperature screenings and physical distancing, several elements are now mandatory for guests.
But other procedures, while strongly encouraged, are still considered optional. One of these enhancements is Mobile Order, a contactless way to pre-order and pre-pay for your food using the My Disney Experience app.
And we’ve just learned Disneyland is extending a special offer to its Cast Members, giving them the chance to visit the District for a soft opening on Wednesday, July 8th.
Disneyland is taking another step towards reopening!
Disneyland Resort is scheduled to begin a phased reopening starting with Downtown Disney on July 9. Both Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure are set to follow, reopening on July 17th.

In a new video released by Disney, Cast Members share their experience with racial inequality.
In the video description, the Disney YouTube channel states: “Several of our colleagues created this powerful and very personal video to share with their fellow employees, highlighting the need for greater understanding, unity and action to address racial inequality in our country. We believe Black lives matter and that this message is one that everyone should hear. That’s why we’re sharing it with you.”
