Cast Members are the MAGIC!
During my face time with Disney’s hard-working employees, I try to be the perfect guest. I offer words of encouragement, follow their directions closely, and occasionally crack a joke to hopefully make their day a little better. Hopefully, all that teacher’s pet behavior makes up for what I’m about to confess…there are some Cast Members I AVOID.
We’ve heard some WILD stories from Disney World Cast Members over the years.
Kali River Rapids Lightning Lane
After chatting with former Cast Members on the team, we’ve learned that they’ve witnessed guests making some pretty avoidable Lightning Lane mistakes that ended up costing them valuable park time. The good news is that once you know what NOT to do, you can skip the headaches and actually make the most of your Lightning Lanes. Here are two of the biggest mistakes Cast Members have witnessed time and time again.
Believe it or not, Disney World can get cold. While the resort was built in Central Florida for weather reasons — and it can certainly get VERY hot in the summer — the winter months can get cold, which can in turn affect certain rides.
Bayou Adventure in Winter
Take Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, for example. The Magic Kingdom attraction is a refreshing relief in the middle of a Florida summer, but when you are soaked and walking around in cool weather, it can get rather uncomfortable.
Custodial Cast Members take care of some of the most daunting tasks at Walt Disney World, including keeping the resort’s theme parks and hotels up to Disney’s standards. In doing so, there are plenty of things they’d LIKE to say to guests, but don’t.
Custodial uniform.
From cleaning trash and quick service tables to other… unpleasant messes, these custodians are on the front lines of Walt Disney World guest relations, meaning they often have to hold their tongue and respond pleasantly to any given situation.

The Land Pavilion
We love seeing all the different Cast Member costumes around the parks, because depending on where you are, they change! We just got word that some iconic Cast Member outfits just changed over in The Land Pavilion, and we’ve gotta admit that we’re a big fan of the new look!
If there’s any Disney celebrity we think we’d love to meet, it might just be Josh Gad. That’s because he’s sort of living the Disney Adult dream.
Say goodbye to these pals in August!
No, we’re not talking about him being the voice of Olaf (which is pretty cool, though). No, Josh Gad has had a chance to be a Cast Member on several ICONIC Disney rides, including the Jungle Cruise and Kilimanjaro Safaris. Now, though, Gad is stepping into the ULTIMATE Cast Member role as a Haunted Mansion caretaker…and the results are hysterical.
Disney Cast Members have a well-deserved reputation for excellent customer service, but they’re still human.

Disney World has over 25 resorts, which means there are a ton of hotel Cast Members to assist you throughout your stay. Although Cast Members are always happy to help, hotel Cast Members wish they could tell you these five things, but they won’t because they are too nice.

Boo To You! parade
With the ever-popular Boo-To-You Parade having returned for the annual Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Disney has released a new clip of some of the parade’s performers on one of their official social media channels.
Celebrities visiting Disney Parks is nothing new. Actors, musicians, politicians, athletes, and every kind of notable figure in between have been making pilgrimages since Disneyland first opened in 1955.
Let’s go to Disney World!
Learning that celebs have worked at a Disney theme park is nothing new either, as many future notable figures have gotten their start at Disney’s parks over the last 70 years. However, it’s not often we see a well-established celebrity figure working at one of the company’s theme parks… even in a temporary and honorary capacity.
I was a Disney World Cast Member for almost four years and am still an Annual Passholder who spends much of my free time at Disney World. As cliche as it sounds, the parks are my happy place. While I didn’t grow up going to Disney World, in the past six years, I have been hundreds of times.

While my trips to Disney World may not be the same as those of someone traveling from elsewhere, I have still spent lots of time experiencing the Disney Parks. I am sharing some of the things that I wish you knew before going to Disney World!
