There are more than 20 hotels in Disney World (not counting the third-party hotels that are not owned by Disney but are still located on Disney World property). That means there’s a LOT to keep track of when it comes to changes at these resorts! Each hotel has dining locations, gift shops, and lots of other amenities, and Disney updates those offerings all the time. So how can you keep track of it all? That’s where we come in.

We’re in Disney World every single day (visiting both the parks and hotels) to bring you all the latest news. When we find new merchandise, try out a seasonal snack, or check up on construction projects, you’ll be the first to know about it. This page contains every single update from all the Disney World hotels, organized by the hotel, the day we found the update, and what kind of update it is — food, merchandise, or construction. We also keep track of all the latest news from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney Springs, and Disneyland — click each link to find more updates.

September 10th, 2024

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

Food Updates — Narcoossee’s

• We headed over to Narcoossee’s to try the new Pumpkin Butter Cocktail for $17! 

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Construction Updates

• We checked on the Barbados leisure pool which has been closed since July. On September 10th, the pool was still under refurbishment. The pool is set to end its closure sometime this month, but you can visit any of the other resort’s pools in the meantime!

• In the Jamaica section, areas of the beach are blocked off where the step down is steeper than usual.

• Temporary walls are down in the lobby to reveal seating and a Disney Vacation Club kiosk

Merchandise Updates — Calypso Trading Company

• Walt Disney World retro hardcover suitcase — $199.99

Miscellaneous Updates

• Previously, we reported that Disney was requiring wristbands for guests using the Fuentes Del Morro Pool. On this visit, Cast Members confirmed that they are no longer requiring wristbands. However, the pools here are still restricted to guests staying at the hotel which is the rule at most Disney World hotels.

Construction Updates

• Light painting refurbishment is happening in the 60s section

• A refurbishment happening at one of the Rubik’s cubes at the end of one of the buildings in the 80s section

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Food Updates — Landscape of Flavors

Landscape of Flavors has added many returning eats for the Halloween season including:

• Chicken Adobo Nachos — $12.49

• The Whoopie Monster — $5.79

• Monster Cupcake — $5.99

• Maple Pot de Crème — $5.99

Construction Updates

• Painting refurbishment happening on one of the buildings in The Lion King area

Miscellaneous Updates

• Cartoons of You can be found next to the check-in desks in the lobby

• There is a CVS Vending Machine down the hall from Java that we want to point out. This could come in handy for those last-minute must-haves.

• We got a peek at the lunch menu that was added to Trattoria al Forno not too long ago. It is mostly made of items also available at dinner with a few exceptions.

• Decorative holes have been drilled into the restaurant’s sign and sconces are up
