We’re always on the hunt for the best meals at Disney World, and sometimes the real winners aren’t the ones plastered all over social media. They’re tucked away in corners you didn’t even know you needed to explore. Today, we’re sharing the “secret” spot everyone should be talking about, plus a couple of honorable mentions that deserve way more hype.
Picture this: You just got off the Disney bus at your resort after a long day of walking 20,000+ steps, and you’re hungry because dinner was hours ago, but now you’re faced with the issue of where to get food from.
End Zone Food Court
You leave the park after the fireworks. Maybe you stayed for Extended Evening Hours, rode a few extra attractions, lingered on Main Street, or waited for transportation crowds to thin out. You finally arrive back at your hotel close to midnight, you’re tired, happy… and suddenly starving. Then you discover the problem. At Disney World, the parks stay open late, but the food usually doesn’t. And it’s becoming one of the most frustrating gaps in the entire vacation experience.
The Contemporary Resort has been a Disney World icon since the beginning. Literally, the beginning. Along with the Polynesian, the iconic A-frame building opened as one of the resort’s first hotels on opening day, October 1st, 1971.

The hotel is well-known for its unique architecture – the monorail literally goes right through the building, its beautiful views of the Magic Kingdom, the massive Grand Canyon Concourse, and its five-legged goat, and some beloved eateries including Steakhouse 71. However, what many don’t know is that Steakhouse 71 has its very own lounge.
Pop Century Resort is a great hotel for those looking to stay on property and save some money, because it’s one of the lowest-priced hotels you’ll find at Disney World.

While this hotel is home to some fantastic larger-than-life theming that may remind you deeply of your childhood and give you all the nostalgia, we will be the first to admit that the food here is subpar. With only one dining location, there are lots of different menu items, but you’ll rarely find them to exceed your expectations. We grabbed the cheapest dinner there recently, and we’ve gotta admit — it’ll be the last time we do so.
