Disney is CELEBRATING!
2025 marks the 80th anniversary of The Three Caballeros with a brand-new, LIMITED EDITION MagicBand+ offering which is currently available at Disney’s online shop!
If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, or even Disneyland, you might be in the market for a new MagicBand+.
Sure, you don’t NEED a MagicBand for your trip, but it does make things a lot more convenient, especially for scanning into the park, scanning into Lightning Lanes, and paying for merchandise in the parks. If you love Star Wars and have been looking for a new MagicBand for your next trip…well…the perfect MagicBand+ design has now arrived on The Disney Store.
We’ve shared a lot of useful tools that you can add to your Disney World packing list that will help you have the BEST trip possible.
That includes mobile chargers (because you’ll use your phone a lot), backpacks and fanny packs, ponchos, portable fans, and more. However, the most USEFUL took you can have in Disney World is a MagicBand+, which is basically a band you wear on your wrist that can unlock your hotel room door, scan you into the theme parks, scan you into Lightning Lanes, pay for food and merchandise, and so much more. You can even use it to play games in the parks! Well, some new MagicBand+ designs just dropped online at The Disney Store.
MagicBands certainly aren’t required for a Disney World vacation, but they do make things super fun!
If you’re a big fan of checking out the new MagicBands that drop and seeing which one(s) you want to bring on vacation with you and what will match with your outfits, we’ve got fun news for you! TWO new MagicBands featuring iconic characters are dropping this month, and you can get a sneak peek at them right now!
MagicBands are not required in Disney World, but they can help make your trip easier as they can be used to scan into the parks, scan into Lightning Lane, unlock your hotel room door, and charge purchases to your hotel room.
PLUS, they can interact with various elements around Disney World to add a little bit of magic to your trip. Try waving at the Fab 50 character statues around the park, and pay attention to your MagicBand during attractions and fireworks shows. You might just experience a light show and some special haptics! [Read more…]
With a team full of theme park reporters, we here at DFB have tried DOZENS of hacks in Disney World over the years!
From hacks that’ll help you save money to tricks for how to get on rides faster to the ultimate snack hacks, if there’s a new tip out there, chances are that we’ll try it out to see if it works. And along with that list, we’ve tried quite a few MagicBand hacks over the years…now we’re sharing our favorites!
There’s new magic in the air.
MagicBands have been an essential part of a trip to Disney World since their introduction back in 2013 (Yes, MagicBands have been around for over a decade. Feel old yet?) Throughout their existence, there have been hundreds of designs, ranging from the original primary colors that were FREE with your Disney reservations all the way through to limited edition collectible designs. We’ve come a long way! Want to see the current list of MagicBands you can get if you’re planning a trip to Disney World? Let’s take a look!
MagicBands can make your trip to Disney World a breeze!
They act as your park ticket, hotel room key, and credit card. Plus, the latest version of MagicBands, MagicBand+, are interactive! They light up and vibrate during stage shows, nighttime entertainment, and when you pass by certain things in the parks and around the resort, like the character statues throughout all four parks.
The only downside of these new MagicBands is that they need to be charged, and if you have multiple MagicBands that need to be charged at once, it can be hard to remember to switch each one to be charged once you return to your hotel room after a long day in the park. Well, we found the perfect solution to the charging problem on Amazon, and the best part? It is on sale!
It is hard to believe, but MagicBands have been around for over a decade!
MagicBands were initially released in 2013 and have gone through several updates. While the MagicBands we know today still perform the same functions that the original MagicBands did back in 2013, they got some enhanced design upgrades. The most significant difference between the 2013 model and the models we have today is that they are no longer free, which is partially why experts are refusing to pay for MagicBands now.
