We’ve tested TONS of different gadgets and accessories to see which ones deserve a permanent spot in our Disney World park bag. Let’s take a look at the Disney finds that we give our official stamp of approval!
If there is one thing Disney World has taught us, it’s that the margin of error between “BEST DAY EVER!” and “I would like to return to my hotel immediately” can be surprisingly small.
Hello from EPCOT!
Sometimes it’s a dead MagicBand+. Sometimes it’s a backpack slowly cooking your back. Sometimes it’s realizing the people in the hotel room next door have decided 1AM is the perfect time for a spirited family discussion. That’s why we’re always testing Disney World essentials, and right now, several of the ones we’ve used ourselves are on sale at Amazon.
If you’ve ever stood in the Florida sun at Disney World in July, sweat pooling in places you didn’t know could sweat, you already know the lengths guests will go to for a few extra degrees of relief.
AMKEN Waist Fan
We’ve tried the cooling towels, the misting fans, the frozen water bottles pressed against our necks. But we never thought we’d strap a literal turbine to our waistband and walk around the parks with it running on high — until we tried this!
Put on your chef hats and grab your park essentials, because it’s time to wine and dine in Disney style at the 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! The festival runs from August 27th through November 21st, 2026, so you have plenty of time to prep for the best EPCOT fest.
Spaceship Earth
But in case you want to make your EPCOT day ten times more magical, we gathered our favorite EPCOT essentials we wish we bought sooner to help you beat the heat and dine in style!
Here at Disney Food Blog, we’re at Disney World all day, every day, almost 24/7. Partly because it’s our job, and partly because we just love it! But one thing we don’t love? The INTENSE Florida heat!
A good fan can save your trip!
We love testing products to keep us cool while we’re out and about in the parks, so we set out to test new finds for thousands of hours at Disney World. This tiny but mighty handheld fan won gold!
If you’ve visited Disney World during the hotter part of the year (which, let’s face it, can sometimes be ANY time of the year), you’re going to be uncomfortable, maybe even when you’re back in your Disney World hotel room. After a hot and humid day in the parks, the hotel air conditioning can’t always go low enough to get you cooled off quickly.
This room is missing something
So what’s the one thing Disney World hotel rooms are missing that could help? A fan! Now, here’s another thing…a lot of folks can’t even sleep at night without a fan, so why not get a good portable fan that you can pack in your suitcase and take with you?
Disney World truly is our happy place. There is so much to love about the theme parks, from the food to the rides to the shows and the Cast Members. While it is the place where we are the happiest, it can also be the place where we are the most frustrated at times.
The JISULIFE Fan
The heat and the crowds can be overwhelming, and if you don’t prepare, it can ruin your day or lead you to spending a ton of money you wouldn’t have spent otherwise. That’s why we like to prepare for the good AND the bad moments in Disney World. Luckily for us, this $14 essential is the perfect way to beat the heat in Orlando.

Florida heat does not play fair. You can leave your Disney World hotel room at 8 AM feeling cute, hydrated, optimistic, and fully convinced you made wise footwear choices. By 10:47 AM, you may find yourself standing in a Lightning Lane queue, wondering if your skeleton is sweating.

And yes, Disney World sells plenty of heat-battling essentials in the parks. You can grab fans, towels, misting gadgets, hats, sunscreen, bottled drinks, and whatever else your overheated brain suddenly decides is worth any amount of money. But here’s the thing: buying those items after you are already hot is where Disney gets you.
