We are back with another installment of Disney Food Pics of the Week. Thanks to all of you super talented photographers who post on Disney Food Blog Photo Extravaganza, our Flickr group!
Today, we’re celebrating what I think should be classified as a fifth food group. That’s right — we are all about Cupcakes in today’s post! Be sure to check out some of our favorite Disney Cupcakes in our Cupcake Gallery…but in the meantime, we’ve got some sweets to share…!
Honey Lemon Cupcake
The Honey Lemon Cupcake from Disneyland’s Hungry Bear restaurant has to be one of the cutest cupcakes I’ve seen at Disney to date. Topped with a sweet little honey bee and a sprinkle of edible gold glitter, you find the same delish frosting that crowns it also serves as a filling! (Read a review of the cupcake, plus other menu items at Hungry Bear, here.)

Spaghetti and Meatball Cupcake
Mangia!
I always look forward to digging into hearty and delicious dishes when I visit Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! But there are some incredible desserts here too — so be sure to save room! (Read about my latest meal at this quaint and quirky spot.)
One dessert that I can’t wait to try the next time, though, is this fun Spaghetti and Meatball Cupcake. I can pass for a kid, right? Too cute!

Minnie Witch Hat Carrot Cake Cupcake
I love this Minnie Witch Hat Cupcake that was spied at Toy Story Pizza Planet, also in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But even more awesome than the design? It’s carrot cake! Scrummy.

With cupcakes this great, I vote that we just keep on celebrating Halloween right into Christmas!

Oh, I had that cupcake at Hungry Bear and couldn’t get enough of how cute the little chocolate bee on is top….I remember posing it in a picture sitting on the lid of my soda cup before my husband ate it. Oh to be there now! Best honeymoon ever.

Chrissy O — Sounds awesome!! I can’t wait to get back to Disneyland!
Angelina says
AJ you should do a post on the proper way to eat one of these cupcakes. Too often I just dig in and always end up with a couple bites w/o frosting (GASP) at the end 🙁

Disney cupcakes have become one of my finest passions in this world; you could never post too many blogs about them! Thank you.

Glad you liked my meatball picture. My son wasn’t entirely thrilled with it but it got an A+ for creativity.
Funny that the most popular picture on my flickr is a duck leg from les chefs followed closely by a picture of liberty tree toffee pudding that I shared with the Dfb group.
We will be back at Disney in January and hope to grab a couple of meals at the new California grill!

My new favorites are the cake cups at Cheshire Café in Magic Kingdom. Can’t go to MK without getting one.

My niece was given the Spaghetti and Meatball cupcake for her dessert and she did not even try it…..us adults all had a fork full and thought it was better than the adult dessert sampler they gave us. We will all be ordering that next time we go to Mama Melrose’s.

That Witch’s Hat looks delish. I agree that Halloween doesn’t last long enough at the resorts.
Claire says
The Minnie Witch hat cupcake was also at Disney Quest during Halloween. It was pretty good!

We had the minnie witch hat cupcake at ABC Commisary in DHS. The frosting wasn’t just orange in color. It had a hint of orange flavor as well which surprised me on a carrot cake but my husband thought the flavor was great!
