If you’re going to be in Disney World on Saturday, June 21st, you may want to make Downtown Disney a part of your evening itinerary…
Trucks on the Town, an all-new event featuring FOURTEEN food trucks, will be happening from 5 – 10 pm on Downtown Disney’s West Side on the lawn next to Cirque du Soleil and House of Blues!
All four Disney Food Trucks will be present: Superstar Catering, Namaste Café, Fantasy Fare, and World Showcase of Flavors (and there’s word of new items to appear alongside current choices such as the Hand-dipped Corn Dogs and pierogies!). Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Truck will be there, too.
So, where are the other nine food trucks coming from? Disney is partnering with TheDailyCity.com Food Truck Bazaar to feature local food trucks, including:
T.J.’s Seafood Shack
Magic 4 ur Palate
The Yum Yum Cupcake Truck
Ellie Lou’s Brews & BBQ
La Empanada
Philly’s Best Cheesesteaks
El Cactus Azul
Mayan Grill
Med Fresh Taverna
This event comes as we anticipate the opening of Downtown Disney’s Food Truck Park sometime this summer.
It seems like there will truly be something for every taste… from cupcakes to gator bites and everything in between!
So, if you’re in town, come and join the party (DJ provided!). And don’t forget to bring your appetite…
Would you like to attend the Trucks on the Town Event? Please let us know with a comment!

Wow, it’s so great to see Disney partnering with the local food trucks. Well done, Disney!
Local’s tip – make sure to eat your dessert first … the Yum Yum truck sells out quickly and you don’t want to miss it. 🙂

The only way I’ll park at DTD right now is using free valet parking for Tables In Wonderland. It’s just not worth it to fight the parking construction chaos for food trucks.

I would definitely go if I was there at the time :(. I’d really love to see the menus from all of the different trucks *hint, hint*. It would be fun to see what they all had to offer (although it would probably make me drool on my PC). BTW, I would have no problem with starting with dessert first LOL!

It’s a pretty cool idea that Disney is partnering with all the other food trucks, but I foresee one issue: Disney’s truck prices are much higher than typical food trucks. I have a feeling everyone will flock to the non-Disney trucks simply due to lower costs for food.

I will be there the week of June 29th. Will the trucks be out at that time or is it only June 21st?

I wish I could be there but what I’ve been wondering is what are the price and portions like id image something like the foo and wine festival but more expensive

I have to say that this event was a huge disappointment. We tried to come and couldn’t find parking although we gave it a mighty try. Between the traffic and road closures it was a real mess. We won’t be back.

We took the bus from the hotel with no problems. It wa a bit crowded, but it was Saturday night. We had the chicken and waffles, mmmmm. Nachos and quesadilla were very good too. Then we got 6 pack of cupcakes and devoured them all back at the hotel. I was stuffed by the end of the night.
