Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort is here! You know what that means???? It’s time to taste all of the things!
When this year’s list of specialty items came out, I was definitely most excited for the Holiday Funnel Cake from the Stage Door Cafe at Disneyland. Located in Frontierland, the Stage Door Cafe is just around the corner from the Golden Horseshoe. This counter service gem serves up some of Disneyland’s classic favorites.
The Stage Door Cafe is known for its small, but perfect menu! In addition to their famous Hand Dipped Corn Dogs (yes, the same ones served at the Little Red Wagon on Main Street!), they also offer Chicken Breast Nuggets, Fish & Chips, and House Made Funnel Cakes.
Funnel cake options include Strawberry, Chocolate Brownie, or Powdered Sugar toppings.

You can mix and match the toppings, get your funnel cake plain, OR you can indulge in a seasonal flavor. This year, Stage Door is offering the Holiday Funnel Cake, and it’s pretty fantastic.
When I visited, the holiday signage wasn’t up yet, but not to worry, they were indeed serving it! The Holiday Funnel Cake is topped with Warm Chocolate Sauce, a Generous Sprinkling of Powdered Sugar, Whipped Topping, and Crushed Candy Canes.
The funnel cakes that I’ve tried at Disneyland in the past, included whipped topping that had a vanilla hint to it. This whipped topping reminded me more of Cool Whip. The topping is light and fluffy; combined with the crunch & flavor of the peppermint, it was really refreshing.
Add some chocolate sauce and powdered sugar, and well, it’s pretty darn tasty.
The Holiday Funnel Cake will be at the Stage Door Cafe through the holiday season which ends January 6, 2015. All funnel cakes served here cost $6.49.

Looks yummy!
Essie – SO yummy! : )
Looks wonderful! Peppermint makes everything better 🙂
This is my favorite place to get a corn dog. There’s always seating available, unlike by the red wagon. Also, you can get apple slices or fries instead of only chips. Lastly, you can also get mozzarella sticks here- they’re not on the menu, but available.
