Great news today for Rick Bayless fans (and fans of great Mexican food in general)! We have an opening date for Frontera Cocina in Disney Springs!
Frontera Cocina by Rick Bayless (host of “Mexico-One Plate at a Time” and recent recipient of the Julia Child Award) just announced via Facebook and Twitter that the Grand Opening of the Disney Springs location will be this coming Monday, June 27th!
Though reservations via Open Table are not available until July 21 (at the time of this post), the spot should be available for walk-ups starting Monday. We got to check out the still in-progress space a few days ago, and things seem to be shaping up nicely for the big day! Though the windows of one side were still covered…
… we could see some of the features such as the show kitchen and the bottles on the “Wall of Fame” (albeit with a bit of sun glare 😉 ) in the front room from the other side.
We could get just a small peek inside the back room and bar.
Even the back patio looks almost ready to go!
We don’t know yet if the patio is for sit-down guests only, or if guests purchasing their orders from the walkup window will be able to sit here as well… but we’re looking forward to finding out!
Speaking of the walkup window, the menu is already up!
