How has Disney Genie affected Park Hopping in Disney World? Find out with us!
I’m a fan of alcoholic beverages in all the parks. Magic Kingdom is where I need a drink the most!
I miss the light arches and Osborne lights, too, AJ. I don’t think the crispy treats are as good and you can’t get the best custom order caramel apples anymore since they stopped making their own fudge. I used to order an Apple with caramel, a layer of vanilla fudge, chocolate, and then rolled in pecans. It was heavenly, and apples are good for us. Now that they get fudge from the outside, they can’t make them for you anymore.
Lets see, the Jerk Chicken sandwich at Gasparilla Grill, have never recovered since they took that away, never. Loss of Starring Rolls, sorely missed. Mrs Pott’s Cupboard, I mean Story Book Treats getting rid of what I felt was the best snack/value on the meal plan, huge brownie fudge sundae! Crowds and lines both in parks and resorts. Seemingly decreasing amount of busses to help facilitate more efficient travel, possibly purposefully to get more $25/ride via Minnie Vans. Lack of improvement of FP system by not upping to 4 reservable rides with park expansions along with crown volumes. And my worst peeve: Allowing non- Disney resorts in DS area access to perks with FP and extra magic hours that should be exclusively for higher ( much higher) paying Disney resort customers and DVC members, loyalty goes a long way with me!
Positives now: Better expedited entrance to MK with security not at entrance gates now. Supreme amount and variety and quality of food, snacks, drinks, and shops throughout Disney. Expansion with more rides such as G of the G, Ratatouille, Avatarland, upcoming Star Wars, remake of Great Movie ride, etc. More resorts such as Riviera, new Coronado Springs bldg, and gondola system for more options unfortunately hand in hand with more crowds. When is that 5th park coming………..Marvel land?????
One of the worst things about all of WDW is the drunken crowds at Epcot during the Food and Wine Festival, especially on weekends when the bored locals show up at the fancy outdoor nightclub around that lagoon over there. Now, we get to have hostile drunks in every park! Hooray!
I personally think Magic Kingdom should not have alcohol. Walt never wanted alcohol at the parks cause it’s a place for kids. I hope that Disneyland never gets alcohol even though it’s a debate with the new StarWars land. I hate seeing drunk people around kids and there is no way to prevent people from doing that.
So sad they didn’t keep the carrot cake cookie the same I agree, waaaay to much cake now. It would have been an easy thing, don’t know why they didn’t. Too many fav snack places disappearing.
No problem with MK serving alcohol bevs. I enjoy that dolewhip with rum I got at AK, and a frozen Maggie or slush from France. Maybe MK will come up with an interesting sig drink. But in reality I only purchase drinks occas, I’m too cheap to pay Disney prices. I Never order more then 1 drink on any given day.
