Earlier this month we told you about the new Vegan Slaw Dog that’s on the menu at Casey’s Corner in the Magic Kingdom, and now we have details about another Disney World restaurant that is testing a vegan version of a popular dish!
Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room was testing a NEW Vegan Fishless Fish and Chips dish this week!
Thanks to our Instagram pal @devonwcormier for giving us a glimpse at the new vegan option! The vegan and fishless fish filets are made by Gardein, and Chef Stephen is reportedly working on creating a Veganaise Tartar Sauce to go with the new dish if it’s successful.
Devon — who was the first person to try the new dish — said the vegan and fishless option was “great with a squeeze of lemon!”
If you have a chance to try the new Vegan Fishless Fish & Chips at Rose & Crown and you love them, be sure to share that with Chef Stephen — the dish might make it on the menu permanently!

Ashley says
Any news whether they will be transferred to Yorkshire Fish Shoppe?
Peter Terranova says
Why do vegan dishes always try to taste like meat dishes?
Jenny says
I love Gardein Fishless Fillets (and my kiddo REALLY does) and would be super excited to have them as an option at Disney.
Jessica says
We love Gardein also. I hope they create more vegan dishes. Can’t wait to try the new vegan dog next month!
Ciara says
Dose any body know thr protein content of the fish less fillets my partner has a metabolic disorder (pku) he can’t eat protein real fish, meat, chease , pasta ect is always off the menu. I know alot of vegan products are loaded with protein and this is also not suitable for him. But the very rare time there will be so thing that happens to be lower in protein. (5g per portion) it would be a great find

The photo of the food looks awful, standard boring fries and a pathetic looking portion of that vegan version for which they charge through the roof for it. People are getting ripped off, I dont get how some of these locations continue to get away with this. This is the best the chef can do?
DFB Sarah says
Ashley, no word! From what we’ve heard, they aren’t yet a permanent fixture in Rose & Crown — that’ll take some enthusiasm on the part of diners.
Erica says
Ciara, they are gardein fishless filets. I’m sure you can find their nutrition label online or at the grocery store.
