Concept art has been revealed for Epcot’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy ride vehicle

This artwork and more information was shared by Bob Chapek while we were attending the IAAPA Breakfast this morning where he was the keynote speaker. And here’s a bit more info for this upcoming adventure!

Disney is partnering with Vekoma to create the attraction, and each individual vehicle cab will be programmed to direct the eyes of the guests to the story happening around them (as opposed to pointing straight forward) for a fully immersive experience from “the minute you launch.”

Progress continues on the huge show building which will house the roller coaster, which we learned will be SO big that it could fit FOUR Spaceship Earths inside!

The Guardians of the Galaxy attraction is slated to open in 2021. It will be one part of the major multi-year transformation of Epcot which will ultimately “honor the park’s tradition” and make it “more timeless, more relevant, and more Disney.”

I have been a long time fan of Magic Kingdom, and always will be but Epcot is becoming a destination park for me. There is just so much going on there.
