You should see our list of things we can’t wait for at Disney; the Skyliner, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and the two new rides at Epcot, Guardians of the Galaxy and Ratatouille. At least we get the Skyliner and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in 2019. Guardians of the Galaxy and Ratatouille are coming to Epcot in 2021. We checked on the construction progress of these two rides this week.
The new Ratatouille ride will be behind the buildings that are currently in the France pavilion in Epcot.
As we walked from the France pavilion to the Japan pavilion we were able to get a good look at the sheer size of the Guardians of the Galaxy ride building! This ride will change the Epcot skyline.
In addition to changing the Epcot skyline, we are also watching the former Universe of Energy building transform into the queue area for the new Guardians ride.
The removal of the solar panels from the roof is complete, and it looks like they are working on some of the accented “steps” on the end of the building that gave it a very distinctive look in its former life.
Which ride are you looking forward to the most? Let us know in the comments below!

I may be alone in this, but I think the Skyliner system is an eyesore to the Disney landscape and will prove to be a white elephant
I’m looking forward to Ratatouille the most b/c my whole family will ride it. My wife won’t do roller coasters.
I agree..the skyliner is an eyesore. And who in the world will ride it in the summer when it has no AC
Guardians of the Galaxy – I’ve been on the one at Disneyland and am excited to see what they do here in Florida.
I’m looking forward to all these updates! I’m glad that EPCOT is FINALLY getting the attention it deserves! As for the Skyliner, it has a forced air system like that which is used in a gondola system in Dubai. I’m sure if it works there, it will work here! And with a DVC resort attached to the Skyliner I may finally get my husband to buy DVC!!!!
