Oh my gosh, AJ, I did the exact same thing to my son with Big Thunder Mountain! He is terrified of drops now – every time we are in any line he’s like “does this have drops?” Yes, sweetie, Aloha Isle has drops.

While it seems like you are going a lot faster if you ride in the last car on a coaster, you’re not. The cars are all hooked together. They are therefore by definition all going the same speed. If you were going faster in the back than the front, the back would have to overrun the front car, which obviously doesn’t happen. It’s the jerkiness in the back cars that make them seem faster.
