Just yesterday, we took a peek at Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle now that the tarp which covered the Castle during refurbishment work has been removed.
And today, we have a look at the Castle in full, as The Orange County Register has shared both a picture and information about the Castle’s official reopening date.
It is anticipated that Sleeping Beauty Castle will reopen on May 24th, according to the article!
The following quote was shared from Jim Slagle, Disneyland’s Director of Facility Asset Management: “We’re so proud of how it’s turned out. It’s going to look incredible when the fences drop and the scrims come down.”
Fresh and brighter paint and gold leaf along with golden pixie dust are all part of the results of the work which immediately greet the eye.
The Orange County Register reveals that the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough will reopen on May 24th as well, and also states that “Disney craftspeople used the castle downtime to update the audio, lighting and show elements in the attraction” which shares the story of Sleeping Beauty in vignettes. (Note that, at press time, the reopening date for the Walkthrough is still reflected as May 28th on the Disneyland website.)
