The hot spot of Batuu, Oga’s Cantina, has opened with a bang in Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with long wait times to prove it!
According to The Orange County Register, the Cantina has implemented a system so guests can continue to explore Black Spire Outpost while holding their place in line.
According to the article, the new text message return system “allows visitors to return later to a shorter ‘buffer queue’ with a wait time of approximately 15 minutes, Disneyland officials said.”
Guests provide their name, number, and the number of guests in their party at the Cantina, and receive a text when space becomes available inside Oga’s Cantina.
As of press time, the original limits are still in place at Oga’s: 45 minutes to stay with a two-drink limit per guest.
And it is still highly recommended that you make Oga’s your first stop, either to get in or to provide your name and number for a text alert, if it tops your list of Must Dos on Batuu.
The article also states that “Disneyland will continue to make adjustments to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge as part of an ongoing effort to offer a ‘great guest experience,’ theme park officials said.”
Oh, and those waits, by the way?
