New Year’s Eve is a notorious time of year for bringing huge crowds to Disney World, looking to ring in the New Year in the Most Magical Place on Earth!
If you were still thinking of heading to Magic Kingdom in Disney World today, then heads up — it looks like you may want to adjust your plans!
Disney World has officially reported that the Magic Kingdom has reached capacity for the day, and is “not accepting new Guests at this time.”
Disney may allow Guests into the park that are staying at Disney Resorts, as well as those with dining reservations, and Annual Passholders (without blackout dates). This all will depend on the level of capacity that the park has reached, which can change throughout the day. If you have any questions please contact Disney at (407) 939-2273.
While the Magic Kingdom has reached capacity for New Year’s Eve, guests are still able to celebrate the New Year at Hollywood Studios, Epcot, or Animal Kingdom! Disney Springs is also still open, with many restaurants hosting special events to ring in the New Year. You can always call (407) 560-5000 for updated availability!
Remember, things can always change and Magic Kingdom may reopen to Guests later today!
