We’ve been keeping a watchful eye on the various Disney resort hotels that have yet to reopen. While many have scheduled reopening dates throughout the rest of 2020, there’s always the possibility for plans to change! Already, we’ve seen the reopening of Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn’s delayed indefinitely.
Today, we just spotted yet ANOTHER change to Disney’s hotel reopening schedule, although this change does not seem nearly as drastic.
Previously, we reported that Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort was scheduled to reopening on October 14, 2020.
On Disney’s website, we are now seeing that the resort will officially reopen two days later, on October 16th.
A delay of just two days seems a bit bizarre, and Disney has not made any announcements or provided a reason as to why they needed to delay Coronado’s reopening by just 48 hours.
Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort was one of the three Disney World Resort hotels being used by the NBA when the players, coaches, and staff resumed their 2019-2020 season at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The NBA finals officially concluded yesterday with an LA Lakers win.
If your reservation is impacted by this change, you may be contacted by Disney to modify or cancel your reservation, so be sure to be on the lookout for that.
Suite-style rooms at the Disney World Resort hotels can be booked now, but Club Level service remains unavailable — read all about it here!
