We all have that one family member.
The one who would rather watch Wall-E for the 10th time instead of the new psycho-thriller. The one who tries (and fails) at singing the Swahili intro to Circle of Life. That one cousin/sister/friend who takes way too many trips to Disney World, despite not having children. (The author of this post may or not identify with all of these descriptions!) Or, maybe this title struck a chord because YOU identify as a Disney-loving Childless Millennial. This gift guide is for anyone who is young-at-heart who LOVES Disney, even though they’re “too old” to do so!
Throw that mentality out the window! You can love Disney no matter your age or status. We solemnly swear not to judge you if you watch Hocus Pocus in July or own a pair of Mickey Mouse Crocs. We’ve got a gift guide just for you…or…”someone you know.” 😉
Let’s start with something that childless folk sometimes take for granted…breakables. Go crazy and buy the fancy Disney plates, wine glasses, and “toothpick holders.” (This is the Disney-fied name of a shot glass. We’re not fooled, Disney!)
This is the kinda stuff that says, “I’m classy,” but also, “Isn’t Pluto ADORABLE??” We’re on the search for the most fragile and beautiful stuff you can find! For instance, this oh-so-delicate Minnie Mouse wine glass that’s just begging to be dropped on the tile floor for $19…
…this fun and fancy-free Ink and Paint plate set for $39.99…
…and the character tumbler set featuring the fab 5 having the time of their lives for $49.99. (Or, if you’re feeling moody, try out this Maleficent goblet and drink your cocktails with sass and style.)
Finally, there’s this magnificent Mickey Cake Stand. This is for the times when you want to bake a Mickey-shaped chocolate cake and display it for your guests. It’s the kind of cake stand that displays your baking craftsmanship and also makes you feel like a #adult. Only adults use cake stands, right?
The super adult cake stand is $44.99. There are plenty more grown-up accessories where that came from! Disney has a ton of kitchenware available online and in the parks!
Beautiful Bags and Accessories
Dooney & Bourke and Loungefly know exactly how to cater to the Disney-loving millennial demographic. The designers are constantly churning out gorgeous accessories that will make your eyes light up like a Christmas tree. There are SO many bags, wallets, and pretty things on shopDisney it will make your head spin. Let’s narrow it down to our favorites from each designer!
First up, we’re pretty much obsessed with the Minnie Mouse Très Chic collection by Dooney & Bourke. We laid eyes on the set in EPCOT at the France Pavilion and it’s also available online. The large shopping tote for $268 would make a beautiful gift!
While Dooney & Bourke is fairly sophisticated, Loungefly steps it up with fun and funky designs. We’re pretty much obsessed with the pretty in pastel rainbow Mickey collection. The rainbow Mickey backpack will store all your important goods AND looks cute! (Side Note: Have you seen the cutie pie Ewok mini-backpack?? We’re dying.)
These designers know how to make elegant accessories with a touch of Disney magic. The bags are “grown-up” enough that adults can use them without feeling like they’re wearing a child’s backpack!
You’re gonna need a new ugly sweater for all those Christmas parties you’ll be attending on Zoom this year! Thankfully, Disney has you MORE than covered. There are a ton of funny, cute, and sparkling sweaters to suit the needs of any Disney fan! For the Scrooge McDuck of the family, go with the Disney Villains sweater for $49.99…
…Luke and Darth Vader sweater for Star Wars fans at $34.95…
…and LIGHT-UP Toy Story sweater for $49.99.
Don’t see anything that fits your fancy? Disney has an entire category just for ugly sweaters online!
Christmas Pajamas for a Night-In
You might want to sleep in after spending the night drinking loads of egg nog and whooping it up with your friends. There is also a huge amount of Christmas pajamas and onesies available too! Onesies, or what Disney calls “bodysuits,” are all the rage right now. You have the difficult choice between the Minnie Mouse onesie…
…or the Mickey Mouse onesie for $69.99!
Winter nights are for hot cocoa, Disney Christmas movies, and holiday onesies!
Luggage for Solo and Group Trips
Your Childless Millenial Disney-Loving Pal probably loves to make it out to the theme parks every now and then. We’ve got the perfect gift for you! There is a good selection of adorable and durable luggage available for the taking. The Mickey and Minnie sketch luggage by American Tourister is classy and incredibly cute!
AND it’s on sale for $112.46. It’s perfect for those Disney World solo or group trips!
Stationery Set for All the Hard Work You Do
Time to get down to business! Disney created these cute little stationery sets. We’re pretty sure they had millennials in mind when putting together these collections. They’re cute, functional, and Disney themed. It’s the perfect gift set for the young adult on-the-go who also likes a bit of Disney magic in their life.
Each set comes with a pen, mug, writing pad, and notebook for $24.99. This is a fairly good deal considering the cost of a Disney mug starts around $14.99! You can find four themed stationery sets inspired by Winnie the Pooh, Lilo and Stitch, Baby Yoda, and Up.
Disney Park Starbucks Tumblers (Because Coffee)
Disney has SO many coffee mugs to choose from and they just keep coming! We think the most appropriate choice for those coffee-lovin’ millennials are the new Starbucks Tumblers. The tumblers are inspired by each theme park in Disney World. The designs are gorgeous and make you want to hit the parks immediately.
We think the best option for your gift is the holiday Starbucks tumbler for $24.99.
90’s Nostalgia Wear
Millennials grew up with Disney classics like Aladdin, Hercules, and Beauty and the Beast. It’s no wonder we swoon when we see a new shirt inspired by one of the golden age Disney movies! While there is PLENTY of merch inspired by these movies, we’d like to turn your attention to the Home Alone collection that was just released. ‘Tis the season, right?
Kevin McCallister would be proud to wear the Home Alone Christmas sweater or Battle Plan t-shirt! All the Home Alone graphic tees and sweatshirts are sure to drum up some nostalgia for anyone who grew up with the movie!
H20 Products for Disney-Themed Spa Nights
Let’s finish off with a relaxing day at the spa! We can’t bring an entire Disney Spa to you, but you can order products that are used in the Disney World resorts. H20+ is the brand of shampoo, lotion, and body wash placed in each hotel room. You used to be able to take the little bottles home with you, but Disney switched to refillable bottles to reduce waste. Good news! You can order the entire collection online!
H20+ products come in gift sets with ALL the works for $54.98. This is a great gift for a young adult who misses vacationing at Disney World.
We hope this guide has stirred up some ideas for your holiday gift list! We’re always on the hunt for new Disney merchandise for all ages, types, and demographics. Stay tuned with us all season long as we search for fantastic Disney gift ideas!
