If you’ve been to Disney World, chances are you’ve waited in some lines.

Gideon’s Bakehouse
Whether it’s for the hottest attraction in the park, or to eat at a restaurant, we’ve all waited in some form or another. But with the grand opening of Gideon’s Bakehouse today comes one of the longest lines EVER!
Gideon’s Bakehouse closed abruptly after a soft opening on December 23rd to prepare for a grand opening. And today, the bakery is having its grand opening event! We absolutely loved the cookies, cake, and coffee on our soft opening visit, and so did a LOT of other Disney Springs guests.

Gideon’s Line
The virtual line at that time was constantly a few hours long, but today the queue is at 11 hours! The employee informed us that the virtual queue was closed for the day, but that guests may drop out of line and they could possibly reopen later in the day. What a wait!

Gideon’s Line
The line in the pictures is just to sign up for the virtual queue. Once you sign up for that, then you have to wait additional time until you receive a text that they are ready for you to come in!

With FIVE limited edition cookies today, it might be worth the wait to attend this grand opening event.

Plus, there are free takeaways like this Limited Edition 11 x 14 Gideon’s Gargoyle Art Print signed and numbered by artist Michael Reyes!

Remember when you thought a 3+ hour wait for Flight of Passage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom was long? Now, that looks like nothing!

Over on Gideon’s Instagram, they will be updating the status of the virtual line and if/when it will open up again. If you’re looking to get in today, keep an eye on this post!

What’s so funny is that in downtown Orlando you can visit their cookie store by walking right up and ordering. It would literally be worth the drive to leave Disney Springs, go to their other location, and come back. Doesn’t matter where you get their cookies cause they are unbelievably amazing. YUM
Bring back fast passes and have one for the bakery. lol
Wait. So that winding line is just to get into the virtual que? That is completely ridiculous. Isn’t the point of a virtual que so you don’t have to actually have to wait in line? What not just let that be the actual line? Since they’re there waiting for 11 hours anyway. Just let them come in once they get to the door. This was not thought through very well.
