Disney is bringing us some awesome ways to celebrate Black History Month!
You might remember when we reported that a NEW exhibit, The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure, is coming to EPCOT’s American Adventure Pavilion. Well, that’s not the ONLY wait we’ll be Celebrating Soulfully in February; there are also some exciting experiences coming to Disney Springs!
Disney just announced that starting in February, Disney World will introduce several experiences to Celebrate Soulfully. The offerings, including the new exhibit, will honor Black heritage and culture through music, food, art, and more.
One of these offerings is “Celebrate Soulfully at Disney Springs” where jazz-inspired performances, new art displays, special food menus, and more will debut to commemorate the occasion!
On Motown Mondays, Jazz Thursdays, and Smooth Sundays, musicians will perform throughout Disney Springs. As for the art, four new displays inspired by Soul and created by emerging Black artists will be displayed. The artists include Bee Harris, Bianca Pastel, Arrington Porter, and Cory Van Lew and the works reflect each artist’s interpretation of the film.
And you know we’re ready to hear about the food! Select dining locations like Amorette’s Patisserie and more will be offering special menu items like eats inspired by Soul and The Princess and the Frog. You can use them as fuel for when you shop around the spotlighted products from Black designers, artists, and visionaries at various retail locations!
We’re pumped to see what else is in store when we Celebrate Soulfully next month. As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest updates from Disney World!
