We’ve been all about Disney weddings lately.
We’ve taken a peek at Disney’s new princess wedding dress collection, explored a brand-new spot to get married on property, and even witnessed a wedding in EPCOT! But we’re not done quite yet. Today, we’re looking at a pretty delicious aspect of weddings: the CAKE.
Disney Fairy Tale Weddings works closely with the couple to find the perfect cake for them. There’s themed cakes, or the client can opt for a completely custom design! There’s also a TON of flavor combos, like yellow cake with Bavarian cream and fresh strawberries or red velvet with cream cheese. That sounds like a cake lover’s dream.
But no matter what type of cake is chosen, there’s some major work involved to get it just right. In fact, it takes an average of 72 HOURS to make a Disney wedding cake. That’s three entire days!
And get this: the tallest wedding cake was 12 feet and required a ladder! Imagine trying to cut a slice of that on your big day.
These beautiful cakes clearly take some dedication to bring to life. We’ll keep admiring them, dreaming about what they taste like, and bringing you the latest on all things Disney! Stay tuned to DFB.

Disclosure: In nearly all circumstances, Disney Food Blog writers and photographers pay full price for their own travel, hotel, food, beverage, and event tickets. We do this because it’s important to us as journalists to ensure not only that we give you unbiased opinions, but also that you can trust us to do so since we’re paying our own way. On rare occasions, when we are invited by a company to attend a preview as media, and when we choose to accept that invitation, we will always make you, our readers, aware of that situation. Today, we were invited by Disney World to attend their media preview of Disney Fairy Tale Weddings. Note that when we attend events as media we are 1) Not required to review that event/food on any of our channels, and 2) Not required to review that event/food favorably. You can always count on DFB to give you a 100% unbiased and honest review of any event that we attend, food that we eat, or beverage that we drink. You can see more in our Disclosure Policy.
