We’re here to share all of our findings from our most recent trip to Disney’s monorail resorts!
We stopped by Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort to check out any and all updates! Let’s check them all out.
Polynesian Resort Food Updates
Barefoot Pool Bar
At Barefoot Pool Bar, we created a Spiked Kakamora Float!! Now, if you’re not totally sure what this means, the Kakamora Float is a VERY delicious Dole Whip float you can find in Magic Kingdom. We got a little creative and decided to create a spiked version!
This boozy creation includes Parrot Bay coconut rum, pineapple juice, piña colada mix, and blue curaçao. And not only does this drink look delicious, but it tastes SO delicious too!
Although this drink is missing Dole Whip, it’s definitely not lacking any coconut flavor. We absolutely loved this creation and would gladly order it again. You can grab it for $14.75.

Polynesian Resort Construction Updates
While the Polynesian Resort is undergoing refurbishment to incorporate Moana-themed elements, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the construction progress.
During our most recent visit, we grabbed some photos of the construction walls surrounding some of the buildings that house guest rooms.
Plus, on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House, you can snag a peek at the recently installed crossbeams that are on the roof!
These crossbeams are a major part of the Polynesian’s look, so it was awesome to get this unique vantage point of them!
Down near the pool, Kiki Tikis Splash Play Area is still undergoing refurbishment.
This whole section is drained and construction machinery can be seen next to the play area.
This area is expected to remain closed through March, but we’ll share any new updates!

Polynesian Resort Merchandise Updates
BouTiki
Over at BouTiki, we spotted a new Mad Tea Party-inspired stacked mug! The topsy-turvy, whimsical theme of this mug fits the quirkiness of Alice in Wonderland quite well, if you ask us.
You can make this mug yours for $19.99.
Grand Floridian Resort Merchandise Update
At the Grand Floridian Resort, we spotted Basin’s newest bath bomb for St. Patrick’s Day.
We spotted these over at Basin in Disney Springs as well! You can grab these seasonal bath bombs for $9.99 each.
Sandy Cove Gifts and Sundries
At Sandy Cove, there’s a new men’s pullover in the Vineyard Vines collection.
On the front, there’s an embroidered Grand Floridian logo. Now, this is a nice-looking pullover, but it’ll cost ya. It’s priced at $135.00.
We also spotted the new teacup mug here!
Contemporary Resort Merchandise Updates
Fantasia Market
This shop at Disney’s Contemporary Resort has lots of the Raya and the Last Dragon merchandise that debuted this week!
We spotted this large limited-edition pin — there’s only 4500!
Plus, these two normal-sized pins!
We also spotted this “Artfully Evil” Gaston pin that we previously saw at Pin Traders in Disney Springs.
Buena Vista Gifts
If you had any worries about not being able to find this Mad Tea Party mug — never fear. We spotted it at yet another location within Disney’s monorail resorts! We’re three for three!
And that’s a wrap on this visit to Disney’s monorail resorts! Check back with us for more Disney updates.
