The Disney Cruise Line is still not sailing.
All cruises are currently canceled through August 2021, but Disney has stated that it hopes to resume limited operations this fall. And itineraries for summer 2022 have already been announced! But if you’re missin’ that Disney Cruise Line magic — and if you live in the UK — there’s a brand-new experience available.
Disney is debuting its UK Staycations with Disney Magic at Sea! The limited cruises depart from London Tilbury, Newcastle, Liverpool, and Southampton, and they are exclusive to U.K. residents. You can set sail for 2, 3, or 4 nights. And of course, the whole point of the staycation is that you won’t leave your ship! You’ll stay onboard the Disney Magic throughout your cruise, without the Disney Cruise Line’s typical stops.
Booking will begin in April for sailings starting in summer 2021! On board, you’ll be able to meet Captain Mickey, princesses, Marvel characters, AND Toy Story characters. There will also be dining experiences and entertainment. And as far as safety measures, Disney will implement physical distancing, facial coverings, and enhanced cleaning, similar to what they’re currently doing in the parks.
If you’re a UK resident and you’re interested in this staycation, remember — booking begins in April! We’ll let you know when reservations are officially open, and of course, we’ll keep ya posted with more Disney news. Stay tuned to DFB!

The staycations would also be a fun idea once cruising returns to the US. I have always enjoyed the days at sea. Having an entire cruise at sea would be fun!
Steve Andresen says
The term “staycation” has lost its meaning. Going on a cruise ship or staying in Disney resort is NOT a staycation. Your house is a staycation.
