It’s not technically summer yet in Disney World, but it is getting HOT, HOT, HOT.
If you’re packing for your Disney trip next week, then you’re going to want to know what kind of weather you should expect. Well, we’re here to help! We’ve got a FULL weather update for Disney World next week — and all the tips you need to brave the days.
Weather Forecast
According to The Weather Channel, this week is going to bring us some heat and some rain. Sound familiar?
Yep! That forecast is pretty darn similar to last week’s. But when EXACTLY can you expect the rain? Let’s take a look!
May 10th
Monday, May 10th will start the week with pretty HOT temperatures — hey, we warned you! That day is going to max out at a 95-degree high and we’ll see 73 degrees at night.
You’ll notice the temperatures this week are pretty stable again. Luckily that’s been the norm over the past few weeks. Don’t expect to see too many differences from day to day!
May 11th
The next day, May 11th brings us a VERY similar forecast (shocker) with a high of 94 degrees during the day and keeping that low down at a comfy and warm 74 degrees.
You might see some scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon this week. In fact, the chance of rain is a little bit higher, in general, this week than it was last week.
May 12th
On Wednesday, May 12th, we’re going to see temps drop just a little bit. So, we’ll be keeping out of the 90s this day — at least, barely. Your low is gonna ease down into the low-70s for a comfy evening.
Note that it looks like we’re going to see some more scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and into the evening. Make sure you have a rain layer prepped so that you can stay dry!
May 13th
For Thursday, May 13th, we’re seeing a day with another little bit of a drop in the temps in the mid-80s and a beautiful evening at 71 degrees.
You’ve got some thunderstorms in the afternoon here as well, but the evening looks more clear. When there’s scattered rain in the forecast, it’s best to be prepared. Sometimes, you might end up getting off without rain, but you’ll want to be ready just in case!
May 14th
The week continues with similar temperatures in the day and another little drop into the mid-60s in the nighttime on May 14th.
Wow! That’s the coolest evening we’ve seen in a while! Luckily, there’s no rain expected yet on this day.
May 15th
Saturday, May 15th brings us more warm temps up in the mid-80s. Keep in mind that we’re not seeing AS MANY Extreme UV days as last week but several of the days still have extreme levels.
That means you’ve GOT to wear that sunscreen! Here, we’ll see an 86-degree high and a 70-degree low.
May 16th
And we’ll wrap up our week on May 16th with still warm temperatures and a beautiful day of mixed sunshine and clouds.
The weather is a bit more fickle this week and that means it’s more important to be prepared!

Tips for Weathering the Weather!
So, what are our best tips for packing when it comes to this week’s forecast?
Protect yourself from the sun!
We know it’s still technically spring but it’s sure starting to feel like summer! The high UV levels, sunshiney days, and toasty temperatures can be a LOT to deal with if you’re not used to it.
Stay hydrated, wear lots of sunscreen, and be sure to wear sunglasses too (gotta protect those eyes!). If you need to take a break and find some shade or AC, make sure you do that! Better to be safe than sorry.

Prep for rain!
Get ready for a little bit of rain this week too! It looks like we’ll see some sudden storms and that could mean a downpour out of nowhere. It might be a good idea to keep a poncho or rain layer handy any day!
Also, note that a lot of the rain in the forecast is STORMS. Lightning and heavy rain can sometimes close outdoor attractions. It might be wise to knock those outdoor must-dos (Splash Mountain, Test Track, etc.) out earlier in the day.

Basically standard Florida summer weather.
Hot with possible afternoon thunderstorms.
That’s why I ALWAYS carry a poncho with me a WDW. Just in case.
Shari Pfeffer says
i always carry an umbrella, a poncho, and a change of clothes with me just in case i get wet. The umbrella can also help with blocking out the sun!
The temp may say 89/95 but it could feel like 100+ degrees at any given moment.
Florida is notorious for having bipolar weather. it could be sunny and hot on one side of the park but extremely stormy on the other side at the same time. lol
I HIGHLY recommend bringing a portable fan with you, especially one that sprays water. I bought one at Epcot many years ago and it has helped so much when dealing with the Florida heat while at the parks!
